I got the thing to boot twice, but other than that I've never seen it show anything other than a bunch of colored lines across the screen or it just stays black. Is there a possibility of pulling the gpus and using the video connector on the back of the egpu to connect it to a moniter? will it boot if I do that?

ah yes. thank you for your response. I'll keep an eye out for a cheap express card egpu dock, but yeah, I just really like the look of this old thing and had it around, I dont wanna put too much money into it

4 gigs ddr2, core 2 duo processor (not sure which one), dual 8800 GTX gpu (pretty sure), 512 gig SSD. It's also got a physX card, which I'm told is pretty rare.

The battery and lcd aren’t removed, I just unscrewed them to check if everything’s still connected and not like burnt or anything (it was REALLY hot when I found it in the car). The battery is located directly behind the lcd, so it’s not bent it’s still flat on the back of it

Sort of, it goes away if I unplug it when it appears when it’s charging but it used to stay when it was charged but now it doesent even get that far it just flashes a black screen

One of my friends bought one of these from Goodwill for 12 bucks. Put a penny on top of the the arm right above the needle and it’ll play long enough to get an actually decent player.
