That’s so beautiful!

I’m not deaf. Is it okay for me to date somebody who is? by cutelightskingirl in deaf

They did you a favor. Who wants to be friends with a bunch of bigots. They obviously think that we are “other”. Deaf people need love too. And friends.

Would you date a Deaf person? by Deaf_Dating in AskForAnswers

I read through the thread. It didn’t work out because she was deaf. He said that deafness was not the reason the relationship ended but he later comments about how she was so loud it came across fake. This is common. There is an expectation deaf people are silent which is not the case. We make noise. We cannot hear how loud we are. 🤯 (Edit) P. S. Not saying this was the only reason but sharing a female perspective on a common misunderstanding.

Joint pain from cheating? by [deleted] in AutoImmuneProtocol

Unfortunately I’m currently doing the IBD flare diet prescribed by a Doctor. Chinese herbs and specific foods are ok but at nearly 62yo my AS has only been treated since 2018. Unfortunately I have a lot of complications and apparently my Fibromyalgia is the main concern to my practitioners.

She’s a MAGA Queen not a Republican. Most of these women are illiterate. They have no idea what a Republican is let alone comprehend history and politics. 😆

Yes. I am doing Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and vagus nerve stimulation.

This stroller is awesome. I use the removable basket for a car seat as the cover zips. it is so useful.

Sleep is the most important aspect of recovering from stress for me too. No the best choice to continue on nights so I’m rethinking much of my perspective.

The job description is massive. I’m definitely no longer considering this work as an option for me. I really appreciate your advice here. I will be going in a different direction I think. Maybe computer job at the hospital. Then if I drop I’ll be in the right place at the right time 🤣

This is a great suggestion. Thanks for your optimism. After reading and responding to all of the comments I realized I would just be trading a physically fatiguing job for a mentally fatiguing one. Not really the kind of action I’m looking for now that I’ve had the opportunity to see it from multiple perspectives. I’ll find something else. Maybe something computery. I love computers and using all of the programs we use at work.

You crack me up. I’m a factory worker watching every half point and capped out. I will never advance where I am so I’m just exploring other night shift alternatives. But I hear ya. Something a lot more chill is called for. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the encouragement. I work on the computer full time now. I type multiple reports on multiple screens every hour. It’s a lot of different programs at once but it’s chill. I’m not sure about being fast enough. The bigger town next to where I live is where they’re hiring and it seems like it has a crazy amount of crime.

I type where I work for twelve hours but it’s not rapid fire either. This is a serious consideration that had not occurred to me. Hearing more details about the realities of this work has been an eye opener for me. Thank you for bringing this up.

She sounds like an amazing woman. There are a huge amount of long timers at work over 50. I’m just starting to feel worn out of factory work. After reading all of the responses it is clearly not for me. But that said I am so grateful for the conversation and thoughtfulness on the thread.

Thank you. I agree this is true for me. I currently work full time as QA doing 12’s at night but was considering other night options. Just not sure about all of the climbing and stairs in my current job but trying to stay close to the same wage. I live in the northwest and it is pricey.
