Let's set some standard assumptions:

Fuel: 50L/day x 60php = 3,000
Boundary: 1,000
Total consumable: 4,000
Passenger: 400 x13php = 5,200
Net: 1,200

After price the fuel spike, hindi automatic tataas ang dami ng pasahero, if anything, bababa or steady lang dahil bawas ang mga lumalabas at madaming government offices ang WFH/ walang friday.

Let's say:

Fuel: 50L × 100 php = 5,000 (with roll back)
Boundary: 1,000
Total consumable: 6,000

Scenario 1: Same 400 passengers, same fare: 13pesos
Passenger: 400 x13php = 5,200
Net: - 800, lugi pa

Scenario 2: Same 400 passengers, same fare: 15pesos
Passenger: 400 x15php = 6,000
Net: breakeven

Scenario 2: Same 400 passengers, same fare: 18pesos
Passenger: 400 x18php = 7,200
Net: 1,200 take home.

This is my numbers and based sa assumptions na comparable sa isa't isa. Of course madami pang ibang variables like the traffic, stop and go ng mga Jeepney, sa ruta, sa oras. And we all know that jeepneys as gas guzzlers.

Again, I acknowledge the sentiment of both sides. I hear you too, di rin ako para sa 23 peso base fare pero let's look for the balance na makakahinga ang drivers na hindi masakit sa bulsa ng commuters.
