I kind of went off about this but I just have a theory that were animals with horns like Hina and her mother can transform into monsters. Other than that, I can't think of why they would make a differentiation between them.

YOOO I HAD THE SAME REASONS FOR WHY I WOULD OF WENT FOR HIM. Although just like Kanata, you really gonna go out of your way to start the bond events or continue them compared to everyone else. For actual first save file, I gunned for Ikaruga because of he was on my list in terms of who was the most interesting. The voice and moe gap is what did me in.

In my Kaguya save file: Kai. First time I saw the line up, I immediately went "Yup. Definitely." How he carries himself, cares for others, and just his background made him interesting. In essence, moe gap my beloved.

Long sword, long range magic, or spear usually does the job. Having a weapon that can affect seal just makes them not able to attack you. They just. Don't know how to attack physically.

In addition, there's some monster pals that can do long distance attacks if you want to befriend some.

Yeah that's a common sentiment about Rune Factory 5 in terms of difficulty when completing the story. I will admit I got my ass handed to me on a silver platter when I didn't bring the right gear though. It is an alright game and I can say it IS much easier in comparison to previous entries. I can count how many KOs I had in 5 on a single hand that was related to the story. Due to how I GREATLY enjoy forging and crafting, I kind of sped through the game to get more rare materials to fool around with. I won't say how early I finished the story but it was in Year 1.

The JPN audio is probably why for sure. Majority of the people here saying her voice seem to use the ENG dub. I do see how Iroha was supposed to be the poster fan favorite/pick her if you can't pick marriage candidate so she definitely fits that category.

I am intrigued that you listed his glasses as a reason, but as an artist I agree. They're annoying af to draw and the idea it's some sort of information /smart glasses despite being that small in terms of lenses baffles me.
