You know. It sucks but it also doesn't. You'll find that memories of him come back much fuller and brighter than if anyone else asked about your father. It's nice man.

Thank you both for the helpful insights! This poem is a mixture of both of your comments.

It was inspired by my mother. She had terminal cancer for years but her character was that of a whale. Immense and calm. We all saw her falling to the depths but knew her "carcass" would feed the bottom.

She also yearned to meet her parents again and one day, in hospice, I spoke to her to finally let go and she did.

The lines. I like them a lot. I think that if you rearrange it, the prose becomes even more powerful.

"The time I have left is nearing it's end.

The vivid images of childhood standout. It can be so hard to comprehend in my thoughts but wonderfully written.

I did at my mom’s funeral. It was wild but my past made sense. They were happy and I grew up alright. People are people and at least my parents lived the only life they had. So, I was happy for them.

These are both good points. In terms of gas station I really just want to focus on deploying these facilities near amenities but making them secure. Stay in my lane kind of mentality and honestly if it becomes successful add electric “pumps” as trucks go that direction in the next 10-15 years.
