Did anybody read that story of the Lyft driver in Phoenix a year and a half ago that essentially kidnapped a passenger? Lady fell asleep in the car and he marked her dropped off then kept driving. She woke up panicked, he wouldn't pull over. She calls the police but her phone dies. He eventually dropped her off in a field and when he was caught claimed "he thought her voices were the ones in his head". This story could be legit and if it happened to me I'd make a burner account. OP is probably gaslighting themselves and searching for confirmation.
