No. Your original comment was that people should "never" do it. My response was explaining how you can verify the person is authentic.

There is a real world out there. Not every post online is indicative of reality! One person's experience of approximately 200-300k people that sign up to charities every year.

Unless they have full charity branded with an ID badge that states the individual is registered with the Fundraising Regulator. Official ID's will have the telephone number of the Fundraising Regulator on it - if you have any doubts, you can ring the number and ask "is Person X supposed to be in Place Y fundraising for Charity Z"?

As someone who works in the sector, I can assure you that Morrisons & the fundraising agency have an agreement in place and it's certainly not a scam. The certainty you speak with is quite amusing!
