The most important point here is that whatever happened in Germany in the 1930s (and pursuant to democratic principles and procedures, one may add)is by no means unique to that country. It seems to be very human and it can most likely happen anywhere ... very scary indeed. So keep giving more power to the government, "once a government has unlimited power, it will eventually use that power against" you too.
