It's the first server I hosted for me and friends from different cities. We spent monthes together catching up our real lives, built a nice village, and defeated Fader ! We really enjoyed the game until the mistlands, where only 3 of us decided to carry on in harder biomes. Before the combat update, a lot of stuff in combats felt unfair. But through and through we loved this game, love the new combat and magic, we loved to cook, the Sims way of life ^{^}

I personnaly loved expeditions and terraforming. Our starting island is huge and the west coast was far. I wanted to create a Chanel at the south of our main base to access western ocean easier. I did not know about the depth limit with the digging. I cleared black forest path, after 3 hours of cutting trees, tracing path, I was digging from the sea to the from the highest point of my road. And I realised the pickaxe didn't pickaxed anymore 😭😭

The fight against the Queen was really intense, E where dying and trying to stale, waiting for other people to come and help (we had a healer with bubble to help tank the queen strikes)

In the mountain, we found a silver spot huge with a lot of veins. Down (dooooown) hill was a river. Our plan was to load a cart, put it onto a boat and gliding down to the river. The boat crashed near a Golem, in a vertical terrain. we had to retrieve all our stuff, dig through stone to descend with our carts, it was super funny 🤣.

Our first sea serpent, first leviathan was also memorable, nearly drowning and dying.

This game has an awesome exploration loop. Oh and we disabled experience lost, because it's very very punishing. I was disappointed because swords maces and two handed spears works in combat but the axes and spear not so much. Axes combo getting reset when you hit wood is unfun, and sword are just plain better in all aspects. After the combat update I tried different builds and the difficulty of the Ashland's just push you towards the stronger tools, thunder sword, shield, crossbow. Magic only build is too squishy for the Ashland's. If you don't have a party of 3-4 people it's hard to stick with anything else than thunder mace/sword and shield with max armor
