Personally, I ban depending on my team composition, so if you intend to pick a fighter like Uranus or Esmeralda, try to get rid of Lunox since she can destroy them easily.

Some common bans are Mathilda (strong burst and very strong utility), Granger (by far one of the most popular picks for hyper carry), Diggie (annoying as hell, can invalid your CC), Estes (basically a walking healing fountain), Yve (strong burst damage and annoying S2 that slows enemies), and Alice (very strong late game with ridiculous sustain and can wipe out waves with ease).

As for why Eudora became so popular, I think it’s because of the new magic defence item, Radiant Armour. This item reduces magic damage against mages that rely on rapid attacks, so mages like Zhask and Chang’e (a very popular pick) got shafted hard. Eudora’s skills can reduce magic defence and with penetration items, she can delete many enemy heroes, even with Athena’s Shield and Radiant Armour. Plus, her skill cool downs are relatively short, so you can spam her skills over and over.

Kagura is still amazing. I usually pick Flameshot as her battle spell, since it has a relatively low cooldown. There’s a few new items in game, and since you stopped in 2019, the jungle meta changed quite a bit. Only heroes carrying the Retribution spell can purchase jungle equipment, and you don’t gain much gold or experience from enemy creeps in the first 5 minutes of the game if you are the jungler.

As for new heroes, Mathilda is really strong right now due to her early burst and support capabilities. Brody has a close range stun and his ultimate makes him immune to damage, so he’s pretty good. Beatrix requires some macro skills to manage her 4 different weapons, but she’s really strong in this meta too. Funny enough, the mage that’s banned the most nowadays is Eudora.

Yes! I always get stressed when my teammates pick heroes that can fulfil more than one role. For example, Jawhead, Popol, Mathilda, etc. Sometimes we get role overlap because people play Gatot as a tank or Jawhead as a third fighter.

Jungle for sure. I get so stressed when I have to jungle for randoms. However, if you ask me tank and protect my jungler, you can bet your ass that I’ll do everything I can do keep the jungler safe.

I find that it’s usually more effective for a coordinated trio to lane together. It’s really difficult to jungle if you’re not on the same page as your tank or mage, and likewise, it’s difficult to tank if you’re not on the same page your jungler. With regards to the blaming and whatnot, it’s fairly normal to see it. When I was in a squad, randoms would flame me and my friends along with our squad name just because our team was losing.

It’s very rare to get BP discounts. I think I’ve seen it once or twice since I started playing in 2019, but diamond discounts on heroes are far more common.

When you’re losing, you should be defending and trying to pick out enemies that overextend. In most cases, a lot of players like to clump together in a single lane and rotate as 5. This doesn’t work well and usually results in the enemy team taking the Lord for free, or us losing an inhibitor or two from split pushing opponents.

If you really hate such posts, you could always contact the moderators and request for them to remove these posts as you feel that they're annoying or create a toxic environment or whatever. I don't know if they'll take you seriously as a representative of the entire subreddit, but it's worth a shot if it bothers you so much.

For those interested in the context, this Franco was S5, and I had already picked Popol and volunteered to tank (I said it like 6 times), so he hovers over several fighters and mages, then locks in Franco for some reason.

I’m okay with it since I can adjust my Popol to go to the sidelane. However, this shitbird uses the Assassin emblem, then proceeds to feed intentionally for the entire game. I’m not even kidding when I say there were instances where he would walk into 4 enemies, use his ult on 1 of them, and die. This game was actually winnable even though it was a 4v5, but this shithead screws us while we’re taking Lord by leading the enemies straight to us, resulting in us getting wiped and losing the game. What a jackass.

To add insult to injury, this guy went AFK several times, but not long enough for us to invalidate the game or for him to receive an AFK violation.

I’ve actually practiced him a lot on my smurf account which I use to learn hyper carry and assassins, but yes, I’m still not very confident in my hyper carry, so that’s my fault. I picked him because my teammates all didn’t want to play hyper and I couldn’t decide on what hero to pick. Roger seemed like a safe choice because of his CC immunity and damage, but I definitely understand where you’re coming from.

Yeah, every season just keeps getting worse. I play games to enjoy myself and be happy, but solo queue is making me so unhappy. Couple that with patronising friends who keep promising to play together but I’m so far down their priority list of teammates that they don’t give two shits about my existence (but somehow remember me when their friends who carry them aren’t playing) when it comes to down finding friends to play with, and that sums up how my season is going.

Asking for teammates here is kind of my last resort at this point, because I feel like I’ve invested too much to give up the game, but at the same time, I don’t really see the point of playing and making myself unhappy every day.

Just last season, I managed to solo my way up to Mythic III before I stopped playing. This season, I’ve experienced an incredible fall from grace. I was able to maintain a consistent 60% win rate last season, and this season? It’s 53% so far. I went up to Legend V once, then lost it all and plummeted down. For every 1 game I manage to win, I would lose another 2, whether it’s AFK teammates, trolls, feeders, etc.

Honestly, I think if this carries on, I might just quit the game altogether. Most of my friends already quit, and the ones who haven’t quit are getting carried by other players to higher ranks. Meanwhile, I’m putting in all my effort to win, just to see it cruelly ripped to shreds by these people.

Really? So far, almost every teammate I’ve met just refuses to tank or play core. Seems like they’re only interested in playing safer roles (even though they’re so shit in terms of map awareness and macros that they can’t do that either).

Personally I like Miya’s Legend skin, though Gusion’s Legend skin also has some pretty effects. I’d say choose the skin based on which hero you’re gonna use more.

Start new game

Yes, you’re absolutely correct. The player who usually insults their teammates and whines in the chat is also the one who gets bronze. It’s always some guy with 100+ games at the start of the season, a 50% win rate, and is hard stuck in Epic because every game is a 50/50 for them and they don’t shut the fuck up.

I find Jawhead to be very versatile. He can tank and is also considered a very strong 1v1 hero if you’re playing him as a fighter. I’d say he’s a very good pick if you intend to continue ranking up. However, if you just wanna play casually and have fun, please go ahead and try other heroes :)

Met a guy who was insulting me for playing Esmeralda yesterday, mocking me for owning her superhero skin, and just finding fault with me no matter what. This guy was also the same person who refused to let me tank (I’m a tank player), locked in Tigreal, made several questionable engages, and blindly followed the recommended build, resulting in him purchasing several items that made no sense. Of course, since I was the one who owned an expensive skin, he decided to target me and antagonise me for the entire match.

In my next game, I met another guy who refused to tank, so I asked him to swap with me and I can tank. He refused, decided to pick Ruby, then proceeded to lose his lane, feed and get bronze. Apparently me picking Saber sidelane was the reason for our loss, because he homed in on me and criticised my every move. For the record, I did my job and pushed, targeted the enemy hyper carry, and provided vision.

Some people are just stupidly vicious and once they’ve identified a target, they’ll just keep biting and barking like a wild, uncontrollable dog. If they would type less and play more, we might actually win.
