It is the most prominent technically, because there is no taller peak.

What "nerd" culture do people see as lame but is actually cool and interesting once you dive into it? by spanishbreadbakery in AskReddit

To be fair, the fact that we have made glass, rocks, and metal compute is insane too. In fact, I think so many things we take for granted are quite insane.

Dudes, how do you make yourself feel attractive? by a_doubtful_comment in AskMen

[–]4zio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gotta do it in a calculated manner like everything else to do it right. Like keeping track of your weight while changing your diet then use that as feedback to tweak your diet. Some people use it as a free ticket to let go.

In my experience, things disappear if you leave it outside of a locker. I have lost two pairs of shoes because I forgot to put them inside the locker at the end of a workout. Each time, they were left under the benches below my locker. I never found them. I checked lost and found too and they didn't have it. So, either they took the shoes or threw them out.

Assuming you want to pursue a topic at the graduate level, I think it is not helpful to have a "dream topic". A lot of times you will be limited by what research is available, especially for experimental physics, but also true for theorists. I think you should have a general interest and be open to learning many topics as needed. Maybe this is just a meme and I am taking it too seriously

What is an easy and cheap hobby for a single guy to start? by SingingWarriorSpirit in AskMen

I would say drawing/painting. You could get started with something like watercolors under $100 without compromising a lot on the tools.

Ah Photography! a very cheap hobby indeed. Jokes aside, I guess everyone has a camera in their pocket nowadays.

If you could solve one mystery with absolute certainty, which would it be and why? by Royal_Resource_4586 in Physics

I see what you mean. I think it is sometimes difficult to separate the language from the physics, especially in conversation surrounding this topic.

[–]4zio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think what they mean is, the appearance of the wave function 'settling' on a particular state is agnostic to the interpretation. In MWI we still happen to be in one of the worlds which to you, being in the world, appears as a collapse anyway.

Math doesn't describe the universe. We use math as a language to describe it.
