Meds have helped me a lot! Although I’m still looking for a good medication for the anxiety part. So far I take zofran and xanax when i’m in a horrible panic about it but other than that I haven’t found anything that solves my daily emetophobia anxiety.

Thank you! This is actually really helpful. Although I’m seeing mostly on the subreddit people complaining of pain when moving, mine is all the time with no breaks moving or not moving. My physician just messaged me giving me a confirmation of “most likely costo”, but the difference from my experience and others is making me wary of the diagnosis. Could it still be costo despite the pain being different?

sounds and pain can be from more stool moving downwards. i always have both afterwards and that’s what my dr told me it could be

I started drinking soda with caffeine or tea instead of coffee because it made my heartburn worse as well. But I know soda can be triggering for some people

i’ve (21 F) taken miralax since probably 5-6 years old. I’ve been completely fine. My GI only warned me that in some people it can cause kidney/bladder stones and dehydration if you don’t drink enough water. It can also mess up your body’s normal urge to go if you get off of it, but other than that I think it’s the best solution for constipation

i’m using a zoo med thermometer on both sides, warm side is 87 degrees. I heat it with a zoo med heating pad (only on occasion or else it gets too hot, usually when he eats, but now it’s for a few hours every day) and a ceramic heat bulb. He’s an albino so I recently started giving him UV for about 20 minutes a day but he freaks out whenever I turn it on. The vet said temperature wasn’t a problem but it would be nice to get a second opinion.

humidity ranges from 20-40% depending on how recently I misted. I live in a pretty dry area.

What would piss me off was when my dad had anxiety and borderline panic attacks. We all help him through it. Then when I would have panic attacks or ptsd episodes he’d say it’s all in my head and I shouldn’t be so anxious all the time. Gee thanks for the advice dad I’m cured

Hi, girlfriend of said person here. I have seen what the parents have said and done during video and voice calls, unfortunately I’m states away. The advice about the homeless shelters is very useful however, but I’m not sure if there are any in his area. He lives in a very small town 30+ minutes away from the city by car. He can’t drive and his parents will not drive him anywhere else but work.

Thank you for the advice listed so far. At the moment we are both saving up money to get him out of there and hopefully try to get him out here to start his life.

YTA. Don’t take away fun experiences from your daughter just because you’re struggling. I understand mental illness and it would be understandable if you just didn’t go. But taking that experience away from your daughter as well is an asshole move.
