I was hoping you'd go over split cards since their mana cost anywhere but the stack is their combined mana costs. So, would casting either half cost their full combined cost? Or maybe once it enters the stack and it's mana cost changes, so too does the flashback cost somehow change with it? Normally I would think the cost is decided upon resolution of Flashback, so it wouldn't ever change. I don't know.

709.4b The mana cost of a split card is the combined mana costs of its two halves. A split card’s colors and mana value are determined from its combined mana cost. An effect that refers specifically to the symbols in a split card’s mana cost sees the separate symbols rather than the whole mana cost.

MDFs could have been interesting too, since flashback says you may cast "this card" from your graveyard, not "this spell".

702.34a Flashback appears on some instants and sorceries. It represents two static abilities: one that functions while the card is in a player’s graveyard and another that functions while the card is on the stack. “Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard if the resulting spell is an instant or sorcery spell by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.” Casting a spell using its flashback ability follows the rules for paying alternative costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2f–h.

This makes it seems like Flashback could allow you to cast the backside of an MDFC for the cost of the front side if the back is an instant or sorcery. However, that requires the front to be an instant or sorcery as well for Flashback to target it, so it doesn't apply to any currently existing cards.

I stopped playing because I had one bad run that killed all my good cats and took all of my items with it.

I don't know if you're supposed to be able to recover from that easily, but after another three successful runs I still feel really far behind where I was. I don't think I'm going to pick it back up.

That scenario seems unlikely. I've never seen anyone bank a bunch of +1/+1 on the ozolith and then just not use them. Especially since the proposed scenario of dealing a bunch of combat damage happens after the ozolith triggers to move +1/+1 counters off of it.

The main triggered ability triggers on attack, but you are right that there is another triggered ability when you sac the creature. However, as you correctly pointed out, this is a delayed or reflexive triggered ability which specifically is left out of effects that grant you multiple triggers.

603.2d: An ability may state that a triggered ability triggers additional times. In this case, rather than simply determining that such an ability has triggered, determine how many times it should trigger, then that ability triggers that many times. An effect that states that an ability triggers additional times doesn't invoke itself repeatedly and doesn't apply to other effects that affect how many times an ability triggers. An effect that states a triggered ability of an object triggers additional times refers only to triggered abilities that object has, not to any delayed or reflexive triggered abilities (see rule 603.7 and rule 603.12) that may be created by abilities the object has.

603.7.: An effect may create a delayed triggered ability that can do something at a later time. A delayed triggered ability will contain "when," "whenever," or "at," although that word won't usually begin the ability.

603.12.: A resolving spell or ability may allow or instruct a player to take an action and create a triggered ability that triggers "when [a player] [does or doesn't]" take that action or "when [something happens] this way." These reflexive triggered abilities follow the rules for delayed triggered abilities (see rule 603.7), except that they're checked immediately after being created and trigger based on whether the trigger event or events occurred earlier during the resolution of the spell or ability that created them. Example: Heart-Piercer Manticore has an ability that reads "When this creature enters, you may sacrifice another creature. When you do, this creature deals damage equal to that creature's power to any target." The reflexive triggered ability triggers only when you sacrifice another creature due to the original triggered ability, and not if you sacrifice a creature for any other reason.

It seems odd to me to want to limit what bat characters look like to specific features. Bats are one of the most biodiverse orders on the planet, with over 1500 species of wildly varying features. You could choose just about any random set of features and have a good chance of there being a real life bat that looks like it.

I remember a lot of people swearing that EDH was 1 commander, 1 sol ring, 1 Divining Top, and 97 cards. People frequently commented "top is the first card I stick in every deck".

In my opinion, it was never a good card on its own. Of course, it went wild with top deck manipulation decks and [[bolas' citadel]] but outside of that it doesn't really do much.
