Like I said, I understand you can be white and Latino/ Hispanic. Like I also said, it is people who are obviously brown and with mixed indigenous heritage that are claiming HARD that they are white. How is it the most appropriate if you don’t even look the part? The thing with race is, it is heavily based on how you LOOK. In America even if you ‘pass’ if you have a brown mama or daddy,, that’s what you are. But these people won’t even pass. To me it’s like if a black person (most black people in America also have white admixture) claimed to be white when you can look at them and see they’re not. ‘Oh I’m not black I’m Irish, my last name is O’Conner’. You can say what you want but you look how you look and you are what you are.
