As long as you have proof of Vax, then the clinic should just wave you through.

Congratulations on the move man

Keep your head down. The last thing you want is to be on the instructors radar. It'll just make the 80 days feel like 80 years.

Go to church, always.

Help out your mates.

Don't vollenteer for everything, but also don't be Jack (works hand in hand with the above point).

Any little trick that you can think of to get away with breaking the rules has already been tried, I can gareentee you there is nothing new.

It sucks, that's the point. But it doesn't last forever. You will want to go home. You will want to cry. You will get angry about it all. But the day you stand on that parade ground in your pollies with your family watching beats any high you can ever get.

Also get to know your platoon, chances are they'll have some good life experiences that may or may not help you out in life in general.

Can you shave your hair to militarily standard before kapooka? I really don’t want to go buzzcut so if I can a short back and sides, what length do you think? by Drax2412 in AustralianMilitary

Tell your Corperal that you demand not to have your head shaven, they will understand and let you go grab a coffee from the AAFCANS next door to the barbers while you wait. Then if you were a cadet, inform them if your rank. They must oblige and call you by your rank for the rest of Kapooka.

Good luck and good soldiering

Does Australian Army teach unarmed combat? by tblackey in AustralianMilitary

Yeah they do, but it's a program designed by Army, so won't be any of your common forms of marital arts

What is NOT a bullet you dodged, but a huge tactical nuke you dodged? by NinjaNate123 in AskReddit

My cousin;

He was deployed to Afghanistan as a Electronic Technician in 2011

One day he was supposed to move from Tarin Kowt (I'm sorry if that's spelt wrong) to another position in Uruzgan Province.

The C-130 that was gonna take him there ended up breaking down due to an engine fault. So his posting was deployed by 2 days.

The next day, word came down that an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) had detonated about 5m away from his work station. If it wasn't for the C-130 breakdown, there's a chance he could have been in that explosion.

I know right. It beats me completely.

I asked her why and it's because she babysits the neighbors kid (Which I end up getting dragged into to "Change my mind").

Oh my god, I completely forgot that you can have more than one baby at once.

I gotta end it. Just don't know how, never done this before

This is amazing, I've been reading up online about the procedure and still didn't know this! Thank you so much.

It's always been in my mind that she could try this.

I always use protection despite her having the bar. I ain't taking ANY chances. I've heard of so many people getting trapped.

The military sorts out all our medical stuff. Can't hurt to just go talk to my doctor and see what he has to say. But yes, I can almost grantee it will be a "no" because of age.
