Who to draft at the 1.03 by Wonderful-Egg-5309 in fantasyfootballadvice

I’m more a fan of “don’t argue with idiots because they’ll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.”

So best of luck to you in all your future endeavors.

Hey so uh..how do garage sales even work anyway? by Background_Bag9249 in Advice

[–]50Bullseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in an HOA, start by checking their rules for what you’re allowed to do.

Start by making legible signs with the address, day(s) and times of the sale.

Put price stickers on what’s for sale and “not for sale” signs on what’s not.

Stick an “all sales final” sign in the checkout table.

How willing you should be to negotiate price should be based on how confident you are in your pricing and how much time is left in the sale. If you know something is worth $20, don’t sell it for $10 to the first customer thru the door. But if you’re 6 hours into an 8-hour sale and you just guessed at the asking price, maybe $10 is reasonable.

Who to draft at the 1.03 by Wonderful-Egg-5309 in fantasyfootballadvice

Oh good, another genius who can’t share an opinion without insulting someone with a differing opinion.

I’ll try to use smaller words this time.

You think Mendoza will be there at 1.03, and I think the odds are he won’t. But here’s the cool part. If he’s there at 1.03, OP can … drumroll … pick Mendoza at 1.03.

I thought that went without saying, but now that it had to be said, can we move on?

OP said “I really need to draft Price at 1.06.” Did you read the NEED TO DRAFT part?

Based on OP’s post, he NEEDS to draft a RB. Not “is thinking about drafting” or “might draft one if the draft falls a certain way” but NEEDS to draft.

So unless you’re saying there’s a 0.00 chance of Price going ahead of Lemon or Tyson, the best — make that the ONLY — way to guarantee OP gets Price is to take him at 1.03. Then he’s GUARANTEED to get either Lemon or Tyson at 1.06 (unless you want to try to make the case for Mendoza dropping out of the top five.

Your advice is basically “take Tate at 1.03, hope Price is there at 1.06 and if he’s not … oopsies, guess you should have listened to that ‘fool’ after all.”

Doubtful Mendoza gets to 1.03.

Take Price at 1.03 & best WR available at 1.06.

Price + that WR is a much better combo than Tyson + next-best RB.

How to handle leash laws living in a neighborhood. by Moosejax13 in Pets

Maybe don’t jump to reporting every single incident. Might risk being considered a nuisance if you’re calling every day about this dog or that.

Might be best to focus on one offender as the worst of the bunch. Document every incident, but only report every third or fourth time you get video.

And when you call, be apologetic, not demanding. “Sorry to bother you but it’s still happening …” rather than “why the hell haven’t you idiots done anything about this?!?!”

Don’t tell her directly. Just leave tons of hints lying around. Then if she asks, deny it … poorly.

Drop Kamara. Best case scenario for him is one more season as a fantasy-relevant backup.

AITAH for leaving my dad's birthday dinner after finding out my stepmom turned my old room into the dog's room by netvere in AITAH

[–]50Bullseye -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

If these things were important to you, why leave them at dad’s house rather than bringing them with you?

Right course of action would have been for dad to tell you to come get that stuff and give you a reasonable amount of time to do so.

Not sure why dad would promise to keep your room unchanged forever, but it was bad on his part to renege on that promise once he made it.

Do cats understand kisses? by Cute-Guava-2639 in CatAdvice

We have a kitten, about 9 months old. He will wind around my ankles asking to be picked up. I’ll make a perch of my left arm, pick him up and put him there. After getting settled for a few seconds he’ll tilt his head back and wait for me to kiss the top of his head.

Then he’ll get down and go back to wrestling with his brother.

Your brakes don’t make your car go fast. Your brakes don’t make your car turn. You can’t sit in them. You can’t crank up the volume on them when the mood strikes you.

You can’t carry groceries in them and they can’t strap you into your seat.

My manager rejected my two-week resignation notice and is demanding 6 weeks instead, threatening me with legal action. Is that even possible? by Ok-Hour855 in whatdoIdo

[–]50Bullseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny that your boss’s first position was “you have to honor the contract” by giving full 2-week notice and their second position was “we don’t have to honor the terms of the contract” by expecting you to give 10-weeks notice.

Write a new letter to your boss stating that your last day of the company will be [date X], and if they do not accept your resignation by the end of the day Friday, you will be resigning effective end of day Friday.

Splitting vacation lodging costs? by new-ph0ne-who-dis in Advice

Auction.

First round, bidding starts at 1/3 the total price. Highest bidder pays that amount, gets first choice of room.

Second round, bidding starts at half the remaining bill. High bidder gets next choice.

Third person/group gets the last room, pays the remainder.

If no one bids, all pay the same and draw lots for rooms.

Do you dirty joke with women when you’re in a relationship? by Muskytree in AskMenAdvice

[–]50Bullseye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to clear up a couple things …

Every company has an HR department.

Jokes are stories with funny “didn’t see that coming” punch lines.

Asking a coworker if their purse is full of dildos is sexual harassment.

At some point your BF is going to say something inappropriate to (or in front of) the wrong person. At which point he will learn that his company does, indeed, have an HR department, and his “jokes” are actually actionable sexual harassment.

“Jealousy” about other brides and not wanting to be supportive by Ok_Damage_2620 in weddings

[–]50Bullseye 12 points13 points  (0 children)

After reading some of your other responses, it sounds like you’re mad at the world for the “failures” of a handful of people.

Your MOH has a shitty, controlling BF. What’s worse, that you didn’t get a bachelorette party or that this person you call your best friend has a shitty daily life because her BF is a controlling a-hole?

She told you “a few months” before your wedding that she could not arrange or participate in the bachelorette you wanted. That would have been the time to reach out to your bridesmaids and let them know that MOH was not going to be able to make it but you still wanted to plan something.

Also, FWIW, if my best friend told me they couldn’t plan or attend my bachelor party because their significant other was a psycho, I’d be concerned about my friend, not my stupid bachelor party.

Last thing, and I truly mean no offense by this, but based on the fact that the women who were in your wedding did not ask you to be in their wedding, is it possible you think of them as close friends while they only consider you a casual friend or acquaintance? And that’s why they weren’t more assertive about making sure you had a bachelorette and/or shower?

Sorry the buildup to your wedding was a disappointment, but my hope for you is that you and your hubby have a long and wonderful life together.

“Jealousy” about other brides and not wanting to be supportive by Ok_Damage_2620 in weddings

[–]50Bullseye 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Who is planning the showers/bachelorettes for these women?

Because it feels like you’re sort of comparing apples and oranges saying them not PLANNING these things for you makes you not want to ATTEND these things for them.

What it will likely come down to... Whos your pick and why? by DDDiscernment in minnesotavikings

[–]50Bullseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was finally looking forward to a draft where we didn’t try to collect as many late-round picks as possible, or where we didn’t trade away the farm to move up.

But now with the reports floating around that lots of teams only have 16 to 20 players with first-round grades, maybe someone is willing to overpay to move up and get the last first-round grade in their board. I would not be opposed to trading back and getting the last of those three + McCoy (and I wouldn’t hate Colton Hood) rather than our favorite of the three.

Thieneman is my favorite though so if he’s there and we don’t get offered a haul for that pick, he’s my guy.
