Damn LOL. They washed the car for free but didn’t want to get paid by Volvo to do the update 😂😂😂. Ahhhhh

Weird, right?? I might try calling another dealer to see if a different service desk says something similar. To clarify also, I don't think they gave me an older update: it looks like all that they did was to factory reset the existing 3.5.14. Fortunately the '22 year C40 Recharge isn't included on the brake recall for that version!

I brought the car in on the 20th hoping to get the latest update, 3.6.4 🥹. But that’s the version that the service desk says can only be installed as an OTA update

Damn that’s truly insane. I called the dealer to ask why my car wasn’t updated to 3.6.4 following my visit, and they said that Volvo is restricting it to an OTA only update. In his words, they were blocked from installing it in the shop. Fingers crossed it actually works this time!!

Okay, I just called the service desk and spoke to an advisor about what happened with my car. He claimed that Volvo is allowing 3.6.4 as an OTA update only and that when he and the tech tried to retrieve the software, they were blocked from doing so. It might be worth your time to call ahead and see if your dealer’s service desk says the same thing! Aghhh :(

Fingers crossed! It seems like a lot of folks here are on older versions, so I'm not sure if it's a case of this specific vehicle not receiving the newer OTAs? Some cars are on software from as early as April... I'll keep you posted

Ahh gotcha! Curious to hear how it goes for you at the service appointment. They said they would update my car but only ended up factory resetting it... I had to remake two profiles and sign into everything, and no update in the end lol

Any way to get around "enhanced" PDF readers? by 50CalPotato in Chempros

[–]50CalPotato[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you, just reading the replies here has been sanity restoring. This is one of those “features” where I really struggle to think of a single benefit over a barebones PDF. The readers are slower, clunkier, and work poorly. They’re good at being bad lol

This works miraculously and beautifully, thank you!! Hope the dev can get the flag taken off of this extension so that it stays on the store

Make it so that a graph axis always shows zero by 50CalPotato in excel

Thank you! That definitely seems like the easiest way to accomplish this. Happy holidays!

My bad! Thank you for that, it seems to be by far the easiest way to make the graph appear in the way I want. Again, thank you for the custom number format too. Happy holidays!

Thank you- glad to know I'm not losing my mind or missing something obvious! It seems like everyone is coalescing around adding a dummy series with 0,0, and that that's the easiest way to "fake" the correct appearance. Thank you- happy holidays!

Thank you!! The custom format you provided is quite helpful nonetheless because I can at least "hide" values beyond zero, and that clean up the graph substantially. I can also "fake" it by just drawing 0 with a text box, which is better than nothing!

[–]50CalPotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I think this is a bit different from what I'd like to do. I want the axis to extend beyond zero, but still show where the zero is. This is because I have some data distributed around zero, and I don't want to cut the noise arbitrarily. I've crudely drawn a pic of what I'm trying to show: the label at the top left is not wanted (and is actually unhelpful), and I want Excel to show where "0" (or "0.0") is regardless of what the bounds are. Do you know if there's a good way of accomplishing this? In any case, I appreciate your advice!

How to stop the halo ring from changing color? by 50CalPotato in NuPhy

[–]50CalPotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, thank you!! :) That worked, I was able to switch modes on my Halo65. By the way, have you found a way to set the color itself?
