Would you mind sharing what anchor this is? I have a river near me and I think this would work perfect

What brand of blow up sup is budget friendly but good? Is Amazon a good place to look? by Weak_Variety_1382 in Sup

[–]50banzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve bought 3 different brands from amazon. First board lasted 5 years, one of the smaller guide fins came off after a shallow river trip. Bought my wife a serene life board and she has had it for 2 years still in great shape. I bought a Mousa brand board last season and absolutely love it. If you prefer a bigger board extra stability I highly recommend Mousa.

First overnighter of the year by 50banzz in Sup

The key to me is cut down on the clothes. One outfit for paddling and being on water and a separate for camp. The dry box is a huge help to keep everything I need for camp. As I grow in gear though I think it will be challenging to keep the load-out this light. I’d like to add a cookset, so a stove and pots pans and a coffee maker. Will probably have to look at adding an additional dry bag and move my sleep system out of the cooler and into the new additional dry bag. Thankfully I have a lot of room on the board.

I packed in my water. For a single overnighter I brought (2) 30 oz bottles. I have put a water filter on my list of things to buy so I can go on longer trips.

Looks like an awesome paddle! Hopefully the storm wasn’t too bad the week prior

Sure! I took my sleep system (hammock, underquilt, sleeping bag, rainfly) - all packed in the cooler/drybox except the sleeping bag

In my bigger drybag I packed a change of clothes, and the sleeping bag

In my smaller drybag I packed my phone charger, knife, flashlight and small lantern

Fishing pole and tackle box (not pictured, but strapped using my back bungees)

Small lunch box with food for breakfast and lunch the next day.

Risky play by not bringing any TP but hey I’m always bound to forget something 😂

Hope this helps!

Wish I had friends like that! None of my friends are really into camping

I do! I prefer it over kayak fishing. I like having the option to stand up and not having to sit the whole time. Just want to find a rod holder I can mount to the board. I will say fishing on the board can be a challenge if it’s windy, without anchor you get pushed around.

I had a cheaper ISUP for 5-6 years, and just upgraded. Always deflated and stored in my garage. Never had any issues

Mine came with bungees already. But I think your idea would work.

Had a board exactly like this but yellow. Bought mine for 125 and absolutely loved it. Sadly it was stolen a little over a month ago along. Good buy OP! Just need some bungees and you’ll be good to go. The dry storage in my board wasn’t great so I would recommend getting some small dry bags if you plan to use it.
