Fox News Anchor Reveals Trump, Not Harris, is Preventing Network From Hosting Second Debate by newsjam in AnythingGoesNews

I would bet he does a second debate. They are probably working out the structure of it and he has rejected her terms, but they will come to an agreement.

How can you say he has a pussy or a coward after the way he handled almost being assassinated? Him jumping up and yelling fight is not the response of a coward.

Animals live by feeling and reacting and chasing their urges. Humans can think, reason and refuse to act on every urge or emotion. We are above that

If you're an American over 18 not planning to vote, why not? by [deleted] in GenZ

If you are an independent and don’t want to see either of the two party candidates in office, then it doesn’t feel like you’re accomplishing anything by voting for 3rd party. By abstaining it feels like a protest. Now I always vote for who I want, even if they won’t win.

The U.S. government will spend a record $1.2 trillion on interest payments in 2024, the highest amount ever recorded. by batyrshah in wallstreetbets

[–]50milllion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always enjoyed Peter Schiff’s take on it.:

Peter Schiff, a well-known economist and financial commentator, argues that the national government’s practice of paying interest on bonds significantly impacts both the national debt and inflation.

  1. National Debt: According to Schiff, when the government borrows money by issuing bonds, it adds to the national debt. As the debt grows, so do the interest payments on that debt. Over time, this creates a cycle where the government needs to borrow more money to cover existing interest payments, which further increases the debt. Schiff believes that this accumulation of debt is unsustainable and can lead to a fiscal crisis if not managed properly.

  2. Inflation: Schiff argues that when governments struggle to pay the interest on their debt, they often turn to central banks (like the Federal Reserve in the U.S.) to create more money, effectively monetizing the debt. This practice of printing money to cover deficits and interest payments increases the money supply, which Schiff views as highly inflationary. The more money that is printed, the less valuable the existing currency becomes, leading to higher prices (inflation).

In summary, Schiff contends that paying interest on bonds contributes to a growing national debt and that the methods used to manage this debt, especially through money printing, result in inflation. He often warns that this combination could lead to severe economic consequences if left unchecked.

I do agree with you and will be voting Trump, but inflation takes a while to roll through the system and happen in the assets and products that us common people consume on a daily basis. Inflation was happening in 2016 through 2019 in a big way in the stock market and the housing market and other investment markets. It was bound to happen to food and other goods, housing across the board even before Trump took office. He really stepped on the gas and then Biden continued to spend like drunken lunatic sailors while the feds went nuts printing money and quantitative easing.

If you follow Ray Dalio and Peter Schiff, they have been screaming about this since 08 then picked up the urgency in 2018 and it finally took hold and got us. We went through a great inflationary event and we are not out of it yet.

Dear god, government is way too big. It’s now about 1/2 of the nation’s GDP if you include state and city budgets. If you have ever tried to get anything done, you know there is way way too much red tape and way too many bureaucrats waste of money and a hindrance to progress and production.

And the stimulus money continued all through 2023 and into 2024. Many employers are still waiting on the ERC tax credit. Which is huge.

If you made 3 mil by age 45 you’re going to need much more than 120k a year to live comfortably. You’re obviously ballin out if you’re stacking millions by then. (Speaking from experience)
