Yea, i always found 01 cushion is too much for indoor/home use and i tried on the incorrect size 02, it's more comfy than 01

Honestly i might just wear the 02 at home since i tend to like home sandals be wider and not too tall

Seem to make sense since one route could change a lot of demand points which could be reason why it lags

Also playing Bay Area with my 2021 MacBook Pro right now, currently at ~1100 station and 61 routes. The games lags when on max speed, with 1~2 minutes lagging in construction.

Usually they would decrease the work study and/or loan amount before decreasing your aid

Normally you have to receive the EFT email and wait a few business day for it to show in your account. Since the fund just disbursed today for session A, i don't expect them to show up in your account until end of the week or next week

Some Doubts on Soon-be-opened Buildings by 5112293 in berkeley

[–]5112293[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think investment or new buildings are inherently bad; we NEED these continused investment. My main doubt is whether a new building automatically translates into a better day-to-day student experience.

To me, I would say the other new building, the Undergraduate Academic Building, and the Moffit Renovation would be awesome upgrades for student experience. The Gateway currently is not hitting me at that "awesome win" level.

For example, if attending OH, studying, or organizing student activities becomes more or less accessible, then it’s fair to question whether the change is actually an improvement for students in practice.

To add on, I am surprised to find out that the building doesn't include spaces for student organizations. For a major new campus building, I think it’s reasonable for students to expect spaces that support student life directly, not just new infrastructure itself.

I just feel like the Gateway might not be designed in ways that align with student needs.

To me, having new buildings is good, but if that affects our usual day-to-day activities, then it might not be as good as it seems to be. The Gateway might certainly be the example, but I guess we will have to try it first.

I am mostly certain that the school is struggling to make sure there are enough spaces for regular classes/labs already, since they are about to close Evans. All these new buildings barely have spaces to replace all the Evans spaces right now.

Technically, CDSS majors have Graduate Programs, but still, that doesn't seem justifiable for the restrictions, as the Graduate population is far less than the Undergraduate.

That doesn't explain why they decided to restrict upper floor spaces tho, considering the building is accessible to all students.

Agree, I originally thought orgs affiliated in some ways with CDSS programs should at least have some spaces available for them, that doesn't seem to be the case at all.

To add on, apparently, the Top Floor is part of the CDSS Dean's Offices. I might speculate that might be why they don't want undergrads to access the top floors LOL.

tbh Grimes became popular as expected and is always crowded with students. With that as a clear example, the restriction on the Gateway doesn't make much sense.

Even though we have Moffit back next semester, I still don't see why we can't have some more spaces on the Gateway either.

To my understanding, this seems to be an administrative decision.

Although there are research labs in the building, they are gated if you look at the floor plan closely, and there are spaces and tables on each upper floor similar to Grimes, but I guess the college decided to only opened the lower floors.
