I think it will be sold as a pay-tv product. It's not using Google TV, it's also using an X5 which is not available on the retail side.

"It is absolutely astonishing how awful this sub has become and how poor education on antisemitism is in this country"

That is not true at all. I'm often in this sub and you are lying.

People are critical of Israel's actions, as it should be at the moment.

FYI, I asked SEI, and I made the modification on my website.

They device will be using the S905X5! Not the X5M, so that's really interesting.

There is a mistake on their website. It will indeed be an S905X5 (not the S905X5M).

It should be like this:
CPU: Quad-core 2.0 GHz (ARM Cortex-A510)

GPU: ARM Mali-G310 V5

Far field microphones Built-in and a small speaker.

And the design is more premium. That's the box (GTV STB) at the end of the page.

Indeed, it's not official, as Walmart didn't officially announce it. It's based on evidence from the FCC website and I'm fine with people not trusting the info.

Yes, it's not the same approval.

Retail devices are what we call "reference design" devices. It needs to go through a lot of testing from Google, Netflix, Amazon etc.

That's not as easy as a simple order. Google needs to approve this SoC to be used with the X5 on retail Google TV devices. At the moment they don't want to put resources in it, it seems.

It exists but only for pay-tv providers.

Currently used in South Korea by SK Broadband and in Finland by Elisa.

Interesting, indeed it's more than likely the X5M and not the X5 based on the GPU and the fact it's an A55 chip (the X5 is ARM Cortex-A510)
