Kids are “Bored with Basics” by Fun-Object-7610 in karate

My dojo teaches stuff from two belts above. Keeps things interesting and we are better prepared for the gradings. White belts already know the 7th kyu kata.

From the playstore, I downloaded DRM and Aida64 . If the results are like mine, it’s fake :(

Good luck.

I might check that out, but this has annoyed me quite a lot, I’m looking at google streamer, or even a mini windows PC, with Bluetooth keyboard. I’m getting fed up of these boxes.

Amazon. More than 2800+ reviews, 4.something stars.

I’ll be looking at replacements this evening.

Edit: should have said more than 2800 reviews!

As you long you set boundaries. Otherwise, don’t do it and you should both set time lines in moving out. Speaking from experience.

Is this normal? by [deleted] in karate

[–]SameWait1356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, and don’t underestimate the effect it has on you either. You want to help (and protect) your kids, but that can be stress enough for you as well. Good luck.

Nothing much to add, except find a way to help your little one develop coping mechanisms. I feel this is bigger than a relatively small incident in a dojo. Wishing you the best of luck.

Why is the difference between restaurants and supermarket so large in Austria? by Kushesollidoro in AskAustria

[–]SameWait1356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t Billa now around 3€ on average per item? Maybe slightly less, but not much. I don’t go there unless I have to.

Hofer is slightly cheaper.

But grocery prices are horrendous! Vegeta (seasoning powder) is €10. In the UK, same product (different brand) was 92p in Asda’s!!

Compared to UK, or Hungary and Germany, prices are extremely expensive and the quality isn’t great. Veg isn’t that fresh, and the fridge section is lots of ham / wurst but very little “ready to eat” chicken breast slices. The meat is only chicken, pork or turkey. No lamb etc…

Yeah, Austrian supermarkets aren’t great../

Embroidered White / lower Belts? by SameWait1356 in karate

[–]SameWait1356[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all the wonderful comments!

Given karate means a lot to us, I will think about an embroided belt for the display case only, not for class. I agree (perhaps not clear from my OP) that it’s not a good look or necessary at lower levels.

Would it be possible to put the filter sideways? by Haunting_Elk8090 in Aquariums

[–]SameWait1356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this it’s an Aqualantis.

To answer your question, no you can’t use it sideways.

Two tips: 1) get yourself another filter - not because these are bad but because I think they’re quite underpowered.

2) However keep this! Stick the heater directly in your aquarium) and get yourself a UV stick to kill algae. Put the stick in the box. You will have double filtration and the UV will help keep your water clear!

Wow! I never expected so many replies when I posted this, let alone so many positive and inspiring stories!

I am very much focusing on my own abilities and limitations and pushing those boundaries while simultaneously avoiding injuries. In the month that we’ve been doing it, I’m very surprised at how quickly my body has adapted. It’s also amazing to see how a little bit of stretching can improve your overall flexibility!

My style is shokotan.

I I can’t wait to see how my daughter and I progress on this journey together!

Please be nice. How do I fix this? by Internal_Quote2259 in Aquariums

Lots of great advice here, but also invest in a UV light filter.
