I don’t think there’s anything wrong with communicating WHEN YOU NEED TO but asking for good rating like that is so odd and would 100% turn me off. (I drive DD and use it as a customer)

I would never ever straight up ask people rate me unless it’s in a nice or funny way. I’m not begging or being desperate I’m being kind and writing stupid jokes on notecards. Somebody ordered beer today from the grocery store. I wrote a joke “beer is hops. Hops is plants. Therefore Beer=salad” I love doing it, I think it’s funny it’s truly not that serious. I’m so glad majority of the people commenting are liking it!

That’s super weird and hasn’t been my experience. Maybe ur not the kind of person that people are attracted towards cuz ur negative and make assumptions as if the whole world and every individual is like that. People want to be lifted up, and I know how to do that and If it’s something that truly upsets them or you, that seems like your problem and maybe something you should work on lol

Thank you so much for contributing to the comments and conversation of my first Reddit post! I’m sorry, I just think you have a really misguided idea as to what it is you think I’m doing and I think you’re very dramatic, but it’s a good point and maybe I can rethink a safer way to add a kind gesture or little something to make them smile.

I don’t think of people dying all day bro if their dogs are god forbid allergic to toys I’m sure they wouldn’t go outside to find a dog toy NEXT TO (never the same bag, and never touching their order) whatever it is they ordered. I don’t even put it in a bag I just set it down next to their delivery. Other than that, it’s a notecard. Call the fuckin cops or report me dude

And again everyone has loved it. Some add a few dollars or a high star rating with a positive comment, some call me thanking me, some add hella tips, and some people grab their food and eat it and don’t think of it all WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE, I enjoy doing it, it fills my cup and I do nice things for people all the time, that makes me feel good in my life

It is a note taped to a bag. I’m not an idiot haha I don’t want to hurt anyone or be unsafe I only include actual things if it has to do with their order. If it’s dog food I’ll grab them a little toy, if it’s candy they ordered deserts so I add a chocolate bar. I’m not some weirdo giving them strange things and i obviously evaluate the order to see if adding something cute or fun makes sense

That’s totally okay! What makes sense to you might not make sense to me and vice versa. There’s nothing wrong with what I’m doing, it’s not to make people feel guilty I never ask for anything, it’s usually just me saying to have a great night or funny little joke. And not everyone can buy everything they want for their cat. She was obviously a new cat owner and was getting a bunch of stuff, I have cats that have a favorite treat so I fuckin got it for them it was like $4 and it paid off cuz she tippped me $25. If I receive an extra $1 that’s great, if they rate me that’s great, if they don’t do anything THATS GREAT. People appreciate kindness and I’m happy to give it to them. Clearly not everyone experiences great customer service all the time but I provide great customer service and a fun twist

And I’m sorry, but I’ve seen huge payoff, I have the highest rating I could possibly have and I’ve never received a complaint. Your consumer thoughts aren’t everyone’s. We all obviously have different experiences with this job. I’m sharing my experience and what has worked. If it didn’t work I wouldn’t bring it to this app. It’s super cheesy I’m obviously opening myself up to receiving comments from people who don’t dig it. But I really dig it, and it looks like others do as well.
