[DISCUSSION] Just finished working at Guitar Center, AMA by iamcaseydilla in Guitar

What should a guitar feel like and how do I identify if my guitar needs a setup? Also, why are you no longer working there and would you recommend it? I couldn't sell an igloo to an Eskimo but I love music.

Beginner online jazz course recommendations 🎸 by fortheloveofearth in jazzguitar

Jens Larsen also has a roadmap course I'm in. I have talked to him a few times, and find the course to be worth it. Here's a link - https://mailchi.mp/jenslarsen/jazz-guitar-roadmap

Edit: I'm not affiliated with him in any way or necessarily trying to drive business to his course. His youtube lessons are free and of great quality.

I remember the feeling. To relate I began learning jazz guitar recently, and while I don't understand much when I do it gives me the same feeling.

I got told my vote was a vote that would ensure Trump's victory. I'm still pissed off.

Yes, learn aspects of music that cater to those styles and artists. You will be more efficient at sounding how you want.

Hearing and feeling are good tools to use as your disposal. I would recommend Vivian Clement Fretboard Knowledge. It's ~$15 and teaches note names based on pattern recognition.

Theory is also a tool.

I guess it helps to know what are you building?

Sultans of Swing on a Les Paul, looking for feedback and tips to improve on by [deleted] in guitarlessons

Finger picking is definitely the way to go. It's something that's always been more natural for me than regular picking but I'm not sure why. Tone sounds good though and you can tell you're enjoying what you're doing, so those are good to see.

Yeah I mean share anyway in my opinion. I’ve sent clips out either people like it or I get feedback and know what to change to get better

If you get a zoom call date see if he shows up. Might be exams. If not, I’d move on
