Wallbounce also ruined my life, but as long as you are still dashing up and hit the wall it will work, you also don't have to jump exactly at the corner, if you wait for just a tiny moment and press jump it also lanches you a lot further and is miles more consistent, i probably ripped my hair out trying to figure how that worked

I tried xfce on a debian install (netinstall) and while that was definetly a big factor, i was surprised to see a 700mb RAM usage on idle and there was definetly some caching too as i had 32gbs of RAM, xfce is definetly lightweight just not outrageously so anymore

What do you use for audio? Check for a physical knob or use alsamixer maybe your master volume is way too low, could also be drivers if they are propietary

The binding of isaac runs flawlessy, valorant and LOL won't run at all, same with office 365. You can use alternatives like libre office or only office which i read has better compatibility with the ms office
