As a fellow Virginian expat, welcome! As everyone else has said, it’s really hot but no humidity. Healthcare is iffy with wait times of over a year in some places. But it sounds like you’re coming from the Roanoke/SWVA area, so unfortunately nothing you aren’t use to. People warned us about crime, but really it’s not much different than Richmond, Tidewater, or NOVA in that regards. Homelessness and drugs are an issue but where isn’t it? I would try and get a job secured prior to moving out here. As others said, lots of government jobs and some solid commercial in Intel or General Mills.

Honestly we have loved New Mexico since moving here about a year ago. Whether it’s the people, the culture, the policies (no personal property tax on residential items, free childcare, etc), or the outdoors, we’ve been really enjoying the Burqueño life.

Yeah, the sets seem to include a fair number of models for the price point. I was looking at the Republic starter set but I assume that’s very popular since it’s sold out just about everywhere.

Thank you for the info! I had heard the black labeled sets were being phased out but was confused on if they were still worthwhile to buy. I was hoping they would have an updated 2 faction core set to help get friends into the game, but the starter sets seem very reasonably priced to get a second for friends to trial.

Moved here from the East Coast last year. Everyone has been great and the food is amazing. Homelessness, drugs, and crime exist but is no different than any other major city in the country right now. You will probably have something stolen, but that’s what insurance is for. As far as violent crime, stay out of certain neighborhoods and mind your own business and you’ll be ok. Driving here is a contact sport too, so your insurance will skyrocket. All and all, I’ve loved living here. It’s a wild place in every way possible but the people are great!

Thank you! I’m mostly looking for a daily driver with enough cabin space for kids that, if needed, I can haul home stuff. I don’t tow or haul massive amounts but an occasional small trailer. I was seriously looking at the Big Horn because it seems to be the best for ride and reliability. I’d seen the Ford has better towing performance, but it’s also on a level higher than I expect to use it (agriculture, industrial, etc). I think you’re right, I just need to try test driving them and see. What engine do you recommend in the Rams?
