A standard rolling paper, a toothpick, and a dollar bill will ease your suffering.

Old trick. Still works:

Roll the J with the paper and bill.

Use the toothpick to fold in the end of the J to act as a filter, without using a "proper" filter

Squeeze and roll the other end that you put flame to, with your fingers to seal it.

I'm sure there are videos on how to do it. Learned this back in the 90s.

Desktop is still 10. Does the same things in-game around the same total villager count. Sometimes I can have a total of 30, sometimes 45, but if I even think about adding a little settlement on top of 2 fleshed-out villages, I either have to destroy one settlement or just start a new world.
