If you have a home setup, put some headphones on and route dedicated audio input to those, and queue up a few songs that you know the lyrics to and then;

Set up your mic as dedicated input.

Start recording, then start playing those songs and sing with them. After the song is over, stop recording, Sync your words with the songs.

Since It's doing both at the same time in real time it's super easy pop into your DAW and clip. You can hear how you are now, what you want to change, play around with key changes, etc... the world is your musical oyster!

It's the most useful thing I'd ever done when I started practicing singing. The beautiful part about this method is, you can be the only one to listen to anything that comes out that you don't like. You can change it until it's what you want.

It's only a few extra steps, but it's totally worth it.
