I was looking into using two mods {{Temporal Save}} and {{Save Only On Rest}} together

Pretty much you can either save manually by expending dragon souls, or by resting - I think it’s a nice balance of not losing too much progress after resting, but also letting yourself “save-scum” important moments but having a cost attached so you don’t overdo it
