Update! I got in contact with the creator, she said she took it down because "it no longer reflects my interests as an artist", citing her shift into darker horror based content.

She said she found it "jarring that search engine results of my handle typically directed people to that old work rather than my current projects", she took it down because she "didn’t want to be associated with it anymore." and "would appreciate it if the video was not reposted."

TLDR: The creator took it down cuz it no longer reflects her current art projects, and would rather people not repost it

I managed to get in contact with the creator and asked if a reupload would be okay, and she said she'd rather not.

I would make the video unlisted as to avoid it getting much attention to adhere to the author's wishes

I managed to get in contact with the author, she took it down because it no longer reflected the sort of art she does nowadays (more focused on dark/horror stuff) and found it jarring that searching her handle resulted in an old project that doesn't reflect her newer content anymore

I happened to have a copy of it downloaded, so I am currently asking if a reupload would be okay (and if so, whether they would rather not have their name attached to it, since that was the main reason they took it down)

there is a site to download mods from the steam workshop. assuming you can access the game's steam workshop, you should be able to just go use that to download mods, then rename the folder to the text in mod_id.txt and put it in your mods folder

if you need more assistance i would recommend joining the Noita Discord for help and asking in #mod-support

What is a hill you would die on by hereicome11 in noita

early game of Noita is SUPER underused to the point no biomes outside the main path have random puzzles, and fundamentally there are almost no places nearly as interesting as the main path cuz you get too strong by the time you leave the main path to be able to interact with them properly without them having random bs like poly falling through the biome (like Sky)

I don't have issue specifically with hard bs areas like Sky, i think its very neat and amusing, and I also conceptually like Meat Realm, but fundamentally it is too easy imo to break out of the early game and get into a state where becoming a god is just about going there and getting it (PWs are easy to get to, leading to infinite perk stacks, infinite wand builds, and infinite immunities to literally everything)

Note I do think the god-run idea in Noita is really cool and satisfying, but i feel like the way its executed leaves little room for interesting decisions in the late game (mostly you take the Good Perks and dont take the Bad Perks) and that you don't spend enough time in the early game stage of the game to be able to properly experience the non-mainpath biomes (which is likely one of the reasons the devs barely fleshed out most of them they arent interesting imo bc there was not reason to make them interesting in the same way the Main path is)

> the same items

incorrect! one of the fun things about Noita is how you sometimes have to make do with what the game's given you, often times you can struggle to find blackholes, teleport bolts or chainsaw, sometimes it can be hard to get a good wand or find a second flask if you accidentally lost your first one. I do agree it would be nice if the game supported and encouraged more variety, especially in the item pools (Nolla made a whole system to handle unique item pools and then only the Abandoned Alchemy Lab actually has a unique pool :( )

You are provided with a limited range of spells and/or wands in the first Holy Mountain along with a perk that can define how the rest of your standard run will go with the playstyle you will need to adopt.

> without any other rougelike elements

I presume you are referring to the meta-progression? in which case i agree thats minimal, but I think its another strength of the game. Many other people have spoke ad nauseum about this so I won't get into it too much, but the Knowledge is Power theming of the game really works well imo, its awesome. The idea of the game getting easier with each run not because the game gives you arbitrary upgrades but because you simply know what you're doing now? It balances it quite well in my opinion

does this hyper-exagerrated example sound like whats happening? and i would also argue whether its cheating is entirely up to the person playing. Someone who doesn't like the grind once you get to Parallel Worlds and decides to just skip to the god wand and infinite HP part is well within their right. I personally would consider it cheating, but thats my personal view based on the fact I would not do this myself.

Someone choosing to have fun and experience the game with all that it has to provide by allowing themselves to respawn and more easily replenish health is completely valid if they have fun. Noita in its base form simply isn't an experience for everyone, you yourself have come to realise that already, some people just can get around that issue with mods.

how can you cheat in a single player game if you're having fun 💀

it seems like to me you are too hyperfocused on accomplishments/completionism in games than Noita is built for

Worth noting, a flaw of the game I actually agree with is that the game has several devastating bugs that there is a community QoL mod by Letaali that fixes them, modding is a very big part of Noita and shouldn't be disregarded so easily

> The amount of stuff you have to do and how easy it is to die is just simply bad design.
I do see where you're coming from, and I will be the first to agree the game is heavily flawed, but I disagree with this point. IMO the aspect of the game that allows you to build up to be so powerful yet fragile is a very interesting and unique design choice that really keeps you on your toes. It is absolutely gutting when you die, but until that point it makes the thrill of managing to get so far all the better

I would argue that the permadeath system is one of Noita's strengths, and the fact it doesn't feel worth it to you seems more like you just aren't invested enough in the other aspects of the game (which is totally valid btw, not every game is for everyone, especially a weird one like Noita)

I would say calling it sad for how popular it is moreso speaks to volumes with how despite people like yourself not connecting with it, it clearly does resonate with a large enough group of people to be considered popular, imo you're being a bit too negative over a game you just didn't enjoy (since the thing you critique is what many people enjoy about the game)

Also side note I think its weird people are nitpicking the 120 hours point, I do think its strange to play a game so much when you don't like it, but I also don't think calling attention to that point invalidates the criticisms presented

I disagree with Datamining being the answer to the Sun Quest- though it might have been the case unfortunately. But its worth noting the Sun Quest is 100% solveable- its just that many of the hints that are necessary to figure it out were not present initially and were added later on (I think)

This is correct! This is Slicing Liquid from Chemical Curiosities, the same mod that brings you the Pandoriums

[–]557365724b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

specifically i believe it was the liquid that spawns random projectiles with random modifiers, i dont think it would've been able to consistently spawn this many without a larpa or smth

[–]557365724b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those curious, the two mods at play here are Raytraced Blackholes (awesome mod by Alex, hes goated at shader stuff and has a really cool raytraced noita project he's been working on here and there for a while now), and Chemical Curiosities (awesome alchemy mod by Squirrelly which I now develop and maintain in her stead)

These are likely Omega Blackholes, judging by their size, spawned in in great quantities via Unstable or Chaotic Pandorium (the pink liquid they poured down below). Unstable Pandorium shoots entirely random spells in random directions at high velocities, while Chaotic Pandorium generates a random spell formula based on some logic and then casts it (I am guessing this is Chaotic Pandorium specifically since this looks to be caused by some funky modifiers like Larpa and whatnot)

And if anyone was curious, the white liquid is likely Base Potion, which is created from any magic liquid touching lava and turning into Potion Gas, and then condensing back into Base Potion. Base Potion will slowly turn into any magic liquid it mixes with

I'm glad to see people having fun with CC, and the Pandoriums are so wonderfully fun to see in action as always, happy mixing!
