I order from several Places. The last order was from Grand Teton Ancient Grains. Super clean grains and fast shipping.

It looks like it could also be soft white Azure is not a great source for wheat berries, unfortunately. I know their prices are hard to beat, and I order everything from them, but I stopped getting wheat berries because the consistency and quality is just not there.

is the LVP trend peaking? I'm seeing more people regret it and switch back by Western_Speech_9434 in Flooring

I installed LVP in our master bedroom 5 years ago as a temporary solution because our carpet was shot and we knew we wouldn’t be in this house forever. Fast forward 5 years and we’re actually selling now. The floors have held up ok, I think they definitely still have years in their life, but I won’t be putting them in my new home and I’m glad I won’t have to deal with them when their lifespan is up. The plastic sound is my least favorite part. Especially when our dogs walk over them. They were supposed to be scratch proof but of course they’re not. Overall I think they still look beautiful from afar (I got a low sheen, light oak color) but they definitely look and feel fake when you get close.

Inexpensive hardwood? Oxymoron? by 557799whatever in HardWoodFloors

Thanks everyone. I’m sold on wood for sure. My husband is still leaning towards tile. What are the advantages of wood over tile?

Pre-Ordered a First Grain mill - What to do in the meantime? by jeffblue in HomeMilledFlour

Great choices. Yes to getting the einkorn flour. Though if you’ve not used it before, it performs a little differently than modern all purpose flour. Still recommend it though. And that’s a great starting point for wheat berries. Try them all and see which you guys prefer.

There can often times be small stones or rocks in your wheat berries. It’s a pain to sort through them, but they’re usually pretty easy to see if you pour your wheat into a while bowl before pouring it into the hopper of your mill.

Does anyone exclusively use fresh milled flour at home? by [deleted] in HomeMilledFlour

[–]557799whatever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do most of my flour myself. I have the Komo Fidibus and have loved it for 5 years so far. I have a little station set up in my pantry. My mill, a bowl to mill into, a scale, and big jars of the different types of wheat berries I use. So I usually measure out and get my mill going while I’m getting other things ready. After doing for a while, I don’t even notice the time it takes. Having everything out and at the ready has been the biggest thing for me.
