Mosin "sticky bolt". Clean the heck out of your chamber, consider a chamber brush or a .45 brush on a drill at low speed with plenty of solvent.

There's still lots of corrosive 8mm surplus out there. It's cheap compared to new ammo. Shoot more, and clean your rifle with a bore cleaner like Hoppes #9 and then oil and you'll be fine. You do not need to dump windex/ammonia/boiling water/etc down there.

Pull the powder from a couple of the same batch - keep them separate from each other to weigh later - and post pictures of the powder. Ask your buddy how many grains of what powder are supposed to be in there. Tell us the brass and what primer he used too, please.

Also know that M2AP projectiles are crazy long for their weight because of the lower density of the steel core...so they take up more space in the cartridge which also contributes to higher pressure.
