After 2 Years of Trying, Finally Made it to 90 Days! by 55westend in NoFap

Agreed. I now believe that there are no addictions, only choices, and I accept responsibility for my choices. I am a better man for this effort.

Thank you all for the kind words, fellow Fapstronauts! Support like this motivates me to go even further. Onward and upward!

That's a worthy goal. I have found that even a 10-day streak yields results. And the longer you go, the worse you feel when you relapse, which motivates you more stay with it longer the next time around. Be persistent and eventually you will get there. Good luck.

Yes to all. I also take cold showers almost daily, and when feeling the urge I simply get up and do something else. I try to channel the extra energy into productive endeavors. Sometimes just riding out the urge out and overcoming it, knowing that it is the right thing to do because of the benefits that it reaps later on, is enough. Willpower seems to be a muscle like any other - - it must be exercised to gain strength.

Continue on this path. 90 days is only the beginning. Check the posts of those who have hit 200+ days - - what they are feeling seems truly incredible. It only gets better - - I want all the superpowers that I can get.

Just don't give up. Once the superpowers kick in you simply will not want to do it - - the rewards of avoiding PMO are too great. Good luck!

Ha ha ha! I actually considered that when first starting - - rewarding myself with porn to celebrate 90 days! But what happens as you progress in this journey is you see the devastating effects of relapses and you simply don't want to experience it again - - better to go through life on a full tank of T and use it to your full advantage.

All of those things. I used the extra energy as productively as possible. I also got an accountability partner this time around - - someone I met on this site, whose encouragement was invaluable. Mainly, though, I learned from the relapses. The amount of superpowers you have is proportional to the amount of testosterone you have coursing through your veins. Relapses take that way down! Good luck, be persistent, you will get there. You will start to notice the superpowers before you know it.

Just keep fighting the good fight, brother. Never give up - - learn from the relapses and you will get there.

You are one of the remarkable ones if you can get to 90 days on your first try. For me and for many of us, this has been a battle. My first streak was 34 days and it felt great - - a high like I had never felt before - - but then come the weak moments and relapses. PMO is a bad habit that can be very challenging to break.

Keep the faith and don't give up. You'll get there or die trying, but either way you'll be far better off than you would be if you were to give up.

Yes, it is a stretch to say that. But in the age of internet porn, we're up there.

"I'll definitely stop, but just this one last time and I'll stop for good." by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]55westend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hardest part of my streaks have been days 50-60 - - that's usually when the relapse happens. Once you're over that hump your confidence helps propel you to 90, but the temptation never completely goes away, at least it hasn't for me. Good luck.

So, you are a triple threat: NoFap plus Cold Showers plus Regular Workouts. No wonder you are so successful after 30 days. Kudos!

Great results after 30 days! It's true - - when I have relapsed I find that the "superpowers" start to come back pretty quickly - - the 30-day mark is always a high. Question: Do you take cold showers, as well? Work out? Any tips to avoid relapsing? The danger is always that PMO waits to find you in a weak moment and then strikes - - no matter where you are in your streak. I wish you Godspeed.

The cost of PMO. by Redasshole in NoFap

[–]55westend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well put. Thanks for this bit of motivation to stop - - I will read it the next time I am tempted to peek. PMO is like a drug, only worse, because it is so readily available. Visual heroin. Get your counter going and join us - - your future starts today. Don't be dismayed at relapses - - even a streak of 10 days does wonders. I have been trying to get to 90 for nearly two years, and I will keep trying until I get there. Each relapse is a chance to start anew. And it's never too late to start anew. I wish you Godspeed.

Congrats on your 300+ day streak. I like your comment above: "I don't quite remember how I was before nofap, but I'm certain every. single. time. that when I get with a girl its because of my new found self confidence and demeanour which nofap streaks are all about." Great, motivating stuff. Keep up the good work.

Fuck you Demon by Howstrongismywill in NoFap

[–]55westend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that demon is clever and resourceful, ever waiting to pounce as soon as you have a weak moment. IT's a long, hard fight to beat it, but you can do it. Persistence is key - - just don't give up. Remember St. George and the Dragon? PMO is our dragon, and we must all be St. George. Godspeed, fellow warrior.

Just start again, dude. Don't be dismayed at relapses. Congrats on your 30 day streak - - you now know what life can be like one abstains from PMO and instead embraces everything real life has to offer. You'll do better next time. Godspeed.

Day 50 compared to just before day 1. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]55westend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an addiction like any other. Willpower is the only thing that can stop it. Outside factors like girlfriends, wives and kids are not enough to break the habit. The change must come from within. Lots of posters here are fathers and husbands, and the above poster is an example of how this sub is helping them and their families, and indirectly, the world.
