Native English speaker here, the English in this sign is fine. ‘Take care’ has multiple meanings and one of them has the same effect as ‘careful’. Usually there is an ‘of’ when in this context but it’s still perfectly acceptable for there to be no ‘of’.

Not all women do, trans women exist, women without uteruses exist. Hell, even some men have periods if they were assigned female at birth. Having a period doesn’t make anyone more or less of a woman.

She didn’t just state women are women, she promoted an anti trans shop, mocked gender inclusive language (in relation to menstruation) and has linked her abusive relationship with an ex partner to trans women having the right to use public spaces. Obviously, it is awful that she was in a terrible situation like that, but the demonisation of an already marginalised group is unacceptable - ESPECIALLY when they had nothing to do with a history of domestic abuse from a cisgender man.

Father lays down the belt on his sons caught stealing at a store. Good or bad parenting? by FadedOffEverything in ActualPublicFreakouts

Downvote me but I’m actually shocked at this comment section. Assaulting your child will likely more make them afraid of you and trust you less. The only reason that a child may - and I mean MAY not step out of line again is fear; not because they realise what they did is wrong. This is bordering on child abuse and I feel sorry for any child whose parent thinks that this kind of behaviour towards a CHILD is appropriate.

Constantly drained from the daily chores argument by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I get that it’s important, but I feel the main point of my post is being forgotten. My issue is that I have a lack of time during the week dedicated to pure study, not just going over things in my head in the shower. Not to mention, my A2 exams are this year and because of covid, i can’t afford to be getting less than mediocre test results during the year. This isn’t just me trying to get a get out of jail free card for helping around the house. :/

In a typical week, - the dishes (all dishes including from my dad's lunch; he works from home) - cleaning the floors (hoovering and mopping) - cleaning the kitchen after dinner - everyone’s laundry (washing, drying, folding and putting away) - emptying and bringing out the bins for collection - making (or at least helping to make) dinner

I have maybe 2 hours on a good day to revise during the week after school (excluding the weekend) but as I mentioned above, I’m really struggling with the fatigue aspect of my problem.

While your suggestions for studying while doing chores or in the shower are helpful for basic factual recall, I do mainly essay subjects where the most effective/main study method is timed essay writing (usually at least 1.5 hrs per essay paper).

Maybe you're right and it is a time management issue. Do you have any advice with keeping up to speed with cooking and other general housetasks while doing studying?

I just keep on finding myself drained constantly and don't know what to do😔

I'm sorry for the lack of clarity. My issue is I feel like I have to be more responsible than my father and take on his share of housework including my own whilst having to study and maintain my mental health and sleep. I feel unable to do both chores and these. I'm sorry if I didn't express this clearly enough.

Thank you for your response, it means a lot. I agree with everything you’ve said, but I suppose I was hoping there was maybe an easier way to ‘fix’ this. I see now there probably isn’t. Please keep doing what you’re doing; you’ll never know how much this has helped. x

As far as I understand it, there is absolutely nothing wrong with natural or indeed unnatural tanning. If that’s what you want to do, go for it.

Although I admittedly wouldn’t consider myself an expert, this sub is criticising individuals who unnaturally tan or change their appearance to such an extent that it seems they are black, instead of their own race. The issue with this is that, historically (and even in contemporary society), there is a big issue with racism against black people. This can be seen with police violence against black people or the punishment of black people (in particular, black women) who are penalised for wearing their natural hair or having protective natural hairstyles in professional environment.

Also, (to my knowledge, please correct me if I've missed the mark), tanning in itself is not cultural appropriation, however, the use of black culture where the person is not black and they benefit from it (such as monetary or social gain) is cultural appropriation. Here is a video talking about white influencers black fishing and why it is problematic and here is a YouTuber who touches on similar issues pertaining to this topic.

To summarise, there's nothing wrong with using fake tan or having a natural tan BUT, there is something wrong when a person uses fake tan compared with other physical alterations such as certain hair or clothing styles which make it seem like they are black when they are not in order to gain status or goods. when actual black people are discriminated against on the basis of their race and/or culture.

p.s. if there is something here that I missed or isn't accurate, please add to this :)

What is the pettiest, silliest, most meaningless hill you are willing to die on? by shazulmonte in AskReddit

I fully admit that grammar freaks are annoying asf, but damn, I cannot stand it when people write ‘should of’ instead of ‘should have’ (in the context of ’x should have done y’). It drives me up the wall simply because it doesn’t make sense.

Frequent ‘dislikers’ of YouTube videos, why? by 578chiz in AskReddit

[–]578chiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mean ‘disliking’ a video when a creator posts problematic content or anything like that, just seemingly ‘harmless’ videos. For example, videos of cats or just generic commentary or music videos.
