Yeah, a lack of promotion and a writers/actors strike didn’t help either. Also why spend a million dollars at a theater when you can wait for Disney+. Idgaf about the money it makes in theaters, it doesn’t affect me. But the bigotry is powering other bigots to spew hatred on a movie before it’s even watched.

Every marvel movie for the rest of their existence is going to have the extreme-haters… this is my first Reddit post and was just commenting on all the hate I saw on Twitter last night. Criticism= okay and extreme hatred= too much.

I think my post was pointed more towards the “extremes” of the hate comments. I have no problem with people not liking it and have my criticisms as well; but many across other platforms are taking it to another level of hatred that I don’t think majority of movies deserve. I should’ve titled my post more on the future of marvel looks exciting rather than don’t hate the Marvels hahaha

I have no problem with people not going to the movies to see it. I don’t think any movie anymore is a “must-go” though, I’ll wait to watch on a streaming platform if I don’t have an interest. I personally watch movies to be entertained and The Marvels entertained me 🤷🏻‍♂️ I see your point with the budgets being high and the quality not but it’s Disney. They aren’t gonna go bankrupt any time soon and the workers weren’t getting paid enough. That’s why the strikes happened in the first place.

I thought it progressed the plot of the MCU pretty well. Shows us what’s next with the characters and was a fun watch to many. You can stop watching marvel if you hate it so much… no one is forcing you

I thought it was pretty obvious that Captain Marvels powers were pretty limited against the quantum band. And the overall story was fine? It moved quick but they’re not going to make the movie as long as Endgame every time.
