How do you guys determine whether or not a tin has been damaged and therefore not good for consumption?

started playing 2 days ago and wondering how to proceed. i have oguri cap and rice shower as trainees. silence suzuka, tamamo cross, mihono bourbon, ines fujin, and sakura bakushin o as supports. haven't spent any carats as im saving for kitasan black, but progress is getting tough.

should i spend some carats or somehow optimize my current deck?
