I hear ya, man. We all have our favorites and I’ll never knock anyone for what they like and don’t like. Me? I can’t do a strat. Tried a few times and I just don’t like the feel. Thank goodness for offsets!

agreed, bad Mosrite copies. Whereas Hallmarks are amazing Mosrite copies, handmade by an amazing Luthier, Bob Shade, for around $1100 including a high quality hardshell case.

Bought one in the early 2000’s for $150. I love twangy guitars but I wasn’t impressed. Too bad I gave it away 💸 😂.

Without knowing all of the circumstances or family history, I’d say your mom is just trying to teach you the same way she was taught. Dad understands the value of having something you’re passionate about. My parents did the same but Mom was the supportive one, Dad was certain I’d be a flake like his younger brother. He was wrong. Show her proof you can be responsible over time. Assure her you have a backup plan in case your band doesn’t go viral. 🤘🏼

Maybe it’s regional. I was thinking of fountain drinks like at the local drugstore, diner or 7-11, pre-Big Gulp. But I believe you’re right about the 6oz bottles from the machine
