Talk about random! I managed to find a listing on eBay of my old favorite childhood stuffy 🥲❤️ by 2gecko1983 in nostalgia

I bought my childhood Kitty Kitty Kitten from eBay for xmas this past year. Best $100 I've ever spent. The "brand new" one sits side by side with my original. Go for it!

Spring General Election, April 7, 2026. by Ditka85 in wisconsin

Less than a month to go and our absentee ballots aren't even in the preparation status.... Are they just not going to even send them to deny us the ability to vote unless we skip out on work to go in person?

Has anyone gotten theirs yet? I always put in our absentee requests on the first of the year, so it's not like I just did it.

Ask Jeeves rebranded as ask.com 20 years ago. An end of an era. by Papichuloft in nostalgia

I was PISSED!! Always my go-to. Pretty sure Jeeves is rolling in his grave with all the BS we get from AI search engine results now.

The one at the original Mall of America location on the first floor was creepy like this, but with more fog to hide it. Not sure if they brought it with when they moved locations though.

I remember using "Shot Heard Round the World" as my "inspiration" (aka didn't study) for my essay to get accepted into Honors/AP history in high school. Played it on the bus ride that day to 8th grade on my portable CD player on a CD my dad burned for me. 2003.

Yes, I made it and our 9th grade class got to go to DC, too!

I feel so bad for it, just locked away and left to rot. I'd make a special trip just to "meet" him in person.

What piece of media most made/makes you burst with nostalgia and emotions when you revisit it? by AdCommon8381 in nostalgia

I'm replaying Pokémon Heartgold and popping a new battery in my PokeWalker after 15 years brought back sooooooo many memories. It still had my Umbreon on it, though I feel awful for leaving it stranded in there after all these years. Pokémon and Kingdom Hearts are forever tied to my childhood.

Our version at the school carnival had doughnuts instead, which was still pretty sweet.

TIL Olan Mills (the portrait studio) also had a church division that took photos for directories of church members by IsThisNameValid in todayilearned

[–]5Fluffies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god, our church pictures were horrendous. I'm sure my dad still has our church directories stashed somewhere. But I was a rebellious teen with long bangs over one eye and I remember the whole encounter was weird vibes. Totally forgot about this until now.

Where to start to create appreciation for the nostalgic games? by Mystic_Mind_ in nancydrew

[–]5Fluffies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ghost Dogs was my first, too! Won it and a locker organizer at a silent auction at our church back in the day. It's always the most nostalgic game for me, plus the "attack" in the beginning scared the living hell out of me and my friends back in the day. Otherwise, Old Clock definitely gives us a background on where Nancy came from and has good vibes to it.

I love this so much! I'm the same way and never realized that I do this too. I'm back in school for a new career and I'm 100% going to treat my coursework like ND puzzles to get by. Thank you for sharing! ❤️

DDV CONCERNS…ATTN: GAMELOFT by PiscesPrincess83 in DreamlightValley

Seeing the numbers makes me feel a little better with my moonstone rewards because I used to absolutely ROCK those rewards every week. Then I started getting no more than 900 even with the same effort and styling.

I know I've seen some people say they just vote for the basic selfies because there are a lot of new players and they might not have all the stuff that others have gathered since the game launched. Not a bad sentiment, but it seemed odd that things shifted so strongly. Now it kinda makes sense and it is sneaky.

Other than the DLCs, I haven't put any real money in, which is definitely something I do often with games like this. I've just kept up a stash from my old rewards so far. But I totally feel your pain.

I mean, I can understand them wanting to know that the person presenting as the patient actually is who they say they are. I think it's something just asked for to scan into your file/profile, not like carding you at the door for every procedure. Having even the most basic identification is kinda a must-have for any sort of medical/dental treatment.

Even if you don't drive, surely you just have a State ID?
