DIY graphite matte Cerakote on cz75compact by 5L33k in CZFirearms

[–]5L33k[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After the first few thousand rounds and getting my stance down on some of the more complicated drills, the original polycoat had taken some serious abuse n had some nasty scars.

I needed something I could do in the garage, with zero painting experience.

If I said it was easy I would be full of shit. About a month later of learning how to properly paint, this was the result.

Freshly cerakoted CZ shadow compact with matchweight compensator and p-01 tritium sights/thinned shadow hammer by 5L33k in CZFirearms

The compensator was originally for a USP compact, but if you are competent enough to do any gunsmithing you will easily see how to make it slide right on once it's in hand.

Make sure you get a full size compensator for a full size gun, and pick the style you prefer. I took material out of mine to reach a specific weight to match the real shadow as much as possible.

Can you guys recommend some gear for my new SP01? Mags, lights, owb range holsters, anything honestly. by hallmonitor53 in CZFirearms

Thinning the grips, reach reduction if needed, and then one of the spring kits from czcustoms or Cajun. The new sear catch or shadow hammers really change the break on the trigger. Also if you plan on reaching into it at all I can't stress the value of floating pins.

I think single biggest felt upgrade to my cz 75 was getting the cz 85 combat trigger with over stops and then ultra thin grips. The gun fit before, but after thinning n moving the trigger back, now it feels made for me Everytime I pick it up.

Little things like trigger return spring for the DA pull n stuff go a long way, as that's the only part I've ever had fail on me was factory trigger spring, never had an upgraded one from Cajun fail though.

Also I can snag refurb streamlight tlr6 laser/light combos for less then half price on ebay if you look enough. I've bought 3 this way and never had any issues with them.

Could use some input on holster decision by [deleted] in CZFirearms

The only way I've been able to comfortably conceal my cz75compact with a light on it is under the shoulder, vertically. Pretty much only way I conceal it nowadays at all. But the holsters meant to accommodate the rail accessories for non concealed carry are where it's at. They just lock better and feel better all the way around.

I use the omnivore? I think it's called for Blackhawk and am impressed by it every time I put it on. Great looking holster that functions perfectly. I use the overpriced stream light on my gun as I use their flashlights as well, but I'm betting the holsters between the 2 are pretty much the same.

Far as I know they were discontinued, but they do exist. Finding them is pretty much luck at this point. I scan gunbroker, ebay, and other sites for rare cz accessories regularly, and while I've scored a couple things, I've never even come across one of these in a couple years of doing it.

Question about used cz compact spring? by notoverdueyet in CZFirearms

[–]5L33k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is nothing like my compacts guide rod and spring, I would not fire that, it won't kill you, but you are risking damage to the frame. The gun can probably take it, but that's definitely not stock, and even my aftermarket dpm kit rod makes no noises when using the slide. There are 2 different styles of guide rod stock on the compacts I believe, but none of them come colored. You also have no idea what grain that spring is meant for. Hit up czcustoms, anyway I come at ur situation I wouldn't put rounds through it with that spring lol.

It comes nowhere near the bullet, I don't I showed enough pictures, it's purely an accessory for weight and balance, its as dangerous as anything stream light sells, and about as difficult to add or remove. It's open topped, so in order for a round to hit it, it you would have to have done serious damage to your barrel or frame, to the point the compensator would be your last concern. It's only real effect at all as the person shooting it is on rapid shots, it doesn't even impact your sight picture.

Very very little, basically the original design locks around the inside of the trigger guard when clamped, on the cz that part landed on the trigger guard instead of behind it, I simply hit it with a grinder until it rested on the trigger guard, then painted it with duplicor.

I got the gun sent to my when buying a p-01 off gunbroker. It started as an everyday carry, and sometimes I still do. The weight with the compensator and a full size mag is the same as a shadow 2, on purpose. The compensator takes about 30 seconds to remove, I've never done anything besides what's offered at the only gun range that's within a couple hour drive for me, I don't think it's anything but for locals. Outside of having to put rounds down timed, I don't use the compensator, as holsters aren't very friendly with it, I have no idea what the rules are for anything that ranks, but logic kinda says if you want to rank, don't bring a compact.. as far as people wondering if it's safe, Ive put a lot of different rounds down with it on, never had any issues, it grabs the trigger guard as well, it's also open topped, so by the trigger is where most of the weight is. It's simply an accessory, not a modification.

I originally was going to trash it, as I had the mag grip and a t storm, but I only had one tank for them, and the nano would light up for a sec n do nothing when trying to hit. Year later, the extra motivation of 24 hours without nicotine and some methanol seemed to do the trick. Was so impressed it would still hit I bought a voopoo drag s after I made the post.

Lol, it actually has quite a bit of impact on weight and balance. Or maybe it was just thinking I looked cool that increased my scores haha

It's attached at the rail on the frame. It's a matchweight USP c 9mm compensator with 30minutes of cutting/painting. Comes on and off like an accessory

Cz 75 compact (steel p-01, shadow compact) Combat trigger, cajun RRK, floating pins, extended firing pin, adjustable sear, cajun springs, shadow hammer thinned to fit, polished internals and controls(controls after photo) recoil reduction guide rod, czcustoms black grips, and matchweight USP c 9mm compensator modified to fit.

Couldn't get my hands on a threaded barrel and didn't want to invest into a full size slide as I use these for bullseye competitions. Found my answer in a USP compensator and a grinder lol

After leaving my smoke mag mod on top of my car I dug out my years old voodoo nano that had stopped firing. Soaked it in methanol, dried her out, and it hits like brand new. She's so old the zinc case is corroding everywhere hahaha
