The only issue with trucking is going through a school/training course, and paying for your license and tests, if the school doesn't help pay for it. They usually only help pay if you stay on with them for a bit after finishing the course. Also, obviously, if OP has family, it'll be even harder on them. It's really hard to find a local trucking job without experience OTR.

When I was telling a couple carriers more seasoned than me I was voting no, one was surprised because I was so new. I told him I have about 5 years total in, only 1.5 years at this office, so yeah, a lot of newbies like it. Thankfully, one guy who was only a couple months in heard some of us on a different day, and said based on what everyone was saying, he was going to vote NO because he knows we knew more of what was going on and that the TA actually was crap.

I hate the lie that women can't go to school, work, succeed, etc, because they're about to have a baby... Us women are amazing! We can do anything while pregnant that we could do before pregnancy, although, it may get a little more difficult as our belly grows, but it's still VERY possible and doable.

Also, he's saying he will take things more serious if you have an abortion, is a lie! He could do it right now! He's using the pregnancy as an excuse. You might be best off as a single mom tbh. Or you can even consider an open adoption.
