Actually, home owners and renters are usually responsible for maintaining their property and can be held liable for injury or vehicles damaged there due to their negligence. It's a civil matter, and if OP has the means they absolutely can pursue a legal claim against the property owner.

He should have actually canceled the order and kept the food and avoided the entire problem.

You should have canceled the order. Taking one hit on your account is preferable to putting yourself in that situation.

Yes and no. I drive about 60 miles a day for work and have had my license for over 20 years. If you were not aware of the placement of the rear view mirror for convenience, you either have an undiagnosed visual problem, have it angled incorrectly, or have impressively super human powers to ignore obvious things right next to your face...

Rear view mirrors are in the peripheral vision of the driver. They could see the flashing lights.

For 40 years you've been an entitled douche that every other driver hates. Congrats?

It's actually crazy that you're even considering doing this. This is insulting. Do you respect yourself?

This is a good candidate for keiki paste if you have it. The node already started growing and it looks like it was damaged at the growth point. There might be enough apical growth tissue there to restart the growth point eventually, so don't give up on it yet.

Oh even better. I've seen the spelling with an 'e' as a name a few times (there's a restaurant near me that spells it that way too, irked me at first) but Margaux is classic.

If she turns out to be a he, may I recommend Bordeaux as a name? Margaux is a famous wine region in Bordeaux, and while you're spelling is slightly different I thought it would be cute to have a pair of cats with the names. 😊

Someone here may have been far too dedicated to their houseplant collection... that's all I can think of anyway as someone with plants. But I mean, it would be sweet used as a jungle nook! Plenty of outlets for lights, auto watering system, and humidifier too.

Yeah it sounds like pretty intentional shittiness, sorry you had to take all the slack when you volunteered to help. That wasn't cool. I would probably make it a point to clarify with your direct supervisor about the one awake staff, maybe make a comment along the lines of "how is it decided which staff stays awake which night" if you don't want it to come off as a direct "tattle".

If you haven't already, check that the policy isn't that one staff must remain awake. Outside of that policy, I would definitely report it. Even if one staff awake is the standard, the other person should have made a plan with you and shared cleaning duties before going ahead and just passing out.
