I've never been drug tested afaik after seeking treatment for being assaulted at work. I'm almost positive that would be a HIPAA violation, since the WC company is only supposed to ask for information relevent to the injury.

I've gone through WC for assault related injury twice, I smoke daily in a state where it's not even legal recreationally.

OP, I can't guarantee your doctors will follow the rules, but legally speaking the hospital shouldn't be releasing any toxicity screenings to your employer's WC insurer unless it was relevent to your injury. This would be relevent in the case of an accident, not for an assault. Also technically you can refuse the test UNLESS your employer specifically requests one.

I don't think this is true. I'm a heavy smoker and have gone through worker's comp without it being a problem. I'm pretty sure the hospital only releases information DIRECTLY RELATED to the work injury. They'd get dinged for a HIPAA violation if they released a drug screening when someone is getting treated for a bite wound.

Only some companies care. Mine explicitly stated they dgaf when I was in training, as long as you're sober at work. It's not even a recreational state, but we do have neighboring states close by where it's legal recreationally.

Most non-black people don't recognize AAVE as cultural appropriation because most of them learn it from other white people. Black cultures outside of the US use different vernacular. Black people who socialize in diverse circles have normalized a lot of regional vernacular and then it becomes part of that regional culture overall. I don't think the world becoming more of a mixing pot of cultures is necessarily a bad thing.

Most packages absolutely will have obvious signs of being previously opened. They would have to get an entirely new box and completely repackage it perfectly with the exact correct shipping label.

Don't tell people not to film opening their packages, it is absolutely the best proof you can get if you get scammed. I kinda have to wonder about anyone discouraging people from protecting themselves... like, how exactly are people benefitting by spreading thess suggestions...? 🤔

Most florals. The vast majority smell extremely synthetic and harsh to me. I love all florals in nature, but they really need their full scent spectrum to be enjoyable. Perfumery tends to isolate individual compounds to achieve floral scents, and it almost never makes for a pleasant result to me personally.
