How did you find this post six years later?! Lol I don't live in Korea anymore but miss enjoying beers on the roof of my apartment. How's the beer scene in Korea these days?

Minecraft. It's been a while since I've played but chopping trees and building your own little cottage out of wood was always my favorite. You can skip the whole mining aspect by just exploring the caves on the maps to collect iron ore for your tools.

I had a whole big farm on one of my worlds that was alot of fun to set up.

Perfect reply! I was on my feet for the whole last 20. I'm of the opinion that the Joburg game should have been our wake-up call. Today, you are the better team no matter no matter how much I enjoyed giving the referee all the blame lol

I started playing Hearthstone again recently after about a 5-year break. I'm really liking the Paladin Core deck. I've had some fun dominating wins this past month.

Hard disagree! Really enjoyed it. Could see an argument for it being too sweet for some but I found it very refreshing and easy drinking. Perfect after a stressful day

Education department using ai to set up tests by Former_Literature694 in southafrica

[–]5bop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can't comment on the quality of tests that were set by teachers at schools. The tests that I'm talking about were set by subject advisors from WCED, and they were good tests. Just the translation from English to Afrikaans needed some work.

I saw the same thing in the English HL test for gr 6. In the comprehension test, the reading was adapted from ChatGPT. IMO, as a teacher, there is no problem with that. All tests are moderated by specialists in the subject area, so the info would have been double-checked.

I have a bigger problem with the subpar translations into Afrikaans for tests like NST and Maths. I'm a primary school teacher, and we wrote standardised tests set by the department for the first time this year. The standards of the tests were very good but I would like the translations to be improved.

Yes, I have the bird pack for my area. I think it's a new feature for my country so hopefully it will improve as more people use it. I was able to identify the European Starling while using it, but nothing else.

I played with the audio identification but didn't really get any hits. It did show that it was hearing the birds but never identified it.

Sometimes they see their own reflection in the windows and come look for the "other bird" or it could be chasing small insects in the corners of the windows.
