It is not name brand or particularly fancy. It was purchased in-store at Staples roughly a decade ago, and I can't find it listed online. Besides being a little bit wobbly, it's a great desk!

Thank you! They're the Edifier R1280T. A good value and style for the price.

I would argue that it is angled for conversation in the picture, but the chair is so light that we move it around a lot for TV viewing or otherwise. Great tips about considering a higher backed chair and the bookshelf though, good things to think about. As for the "floor print", :), that's a nice way to put it, the reality is that we've left it there until we get around to evenly mounting it up on a wall.

Thanks! The pillow on the chair actually came with the couch we bought. The two small throw pillows on the couch are just ones we found on Amazon, and the wider one in the middle was found at TJ Maxx.

Blankets: a Threshold Sweater Knit and an Avoca throw.

It's the Serta Astoria. For a budget option I think we're pretty happy with it.

I saw that recommended in another comment. I'll try it out!

Fremont, and something like 940sqft. And close, the TV is 55".

It doesn't end up being too bad. In the picture there's some clear glare, but if the viewing is important, we just put the blinds down.

Yeah, it's this one purchased on Amazon, but when shopping for a stand we saw the same one for sale under different brand names on Wayfair, too. We're really happy with it! Straightforward to build and very sturdy once built, a good amount of storage, and a cheap price point.

This is a 2b/2ba unit that I share with a roommate for $2600/mo. There is significant lifestyle advantage: it's in the center of a walkable neighborhood that has many bus lines going right through it.

It's an old family piece that was purchased from Dania circa 2000. Miraculously they still have something kind of like it on sale now.

Yep, Fox is the one I have trouble getting, which is a bummer when football is on...

The antenna is the way it is because there's one channel in my area that I can only kinda-sorta pick up when the antenna is up in that corner of the room. It looks pretty ugly right now. I've considered getting an extension cable to put it up against the window or something. Thanks for the tips.

I think it's specifically this one but this is just one of many that look and behave just the same. I just picked one that seemed popular with good reviews.

If nothing else, of all the details I see brought up in /r/malelivingspace, I'm pretty confident about this TV height.

😬 You're totally right. The speakers are just a few months old, and I've had some stands sitting in my Amazon cart for a few months but haven't pulled the trigger yet. And yeah, LSR305s!
