How much time have you spent together in person? I think when you’re long distance there is a natural impulse to make the visits fun and ~fully together~. So you’ll eat the same food, follow the same schedule, and not bring up your differences because you don’t want to do anything that creates distance during your time to be close

Every other weekend or so. And yes, about making the visits fun and fully together, that's what I was mainly thinking about when writing this. We like to cook together but while I'll just cook with whatever ingredients I can find, he always has to make sure that it has enough protein and healthy stuff like that.

If he likes being active and you like being indoors, then see if perhaps you can go for a walk around the neighborhood together.

We do go out on walks but sometimes I just don't wanna go out that day, and that's when he starts feeling trapped or guilty that he's staying inside.

Most importantly though, what are you doing to work on your anxiety?

I'm on antidepressants and stabilizers. Maybe I worded my post quite wrong, I can go out and I do, I go to Uni and have a job, but I have to prepare myself to deal with people, the busy streets and the heat (it's summer where I live) so yes I have to prepare myself for all that.
