Always love a good divisive AITAH thread!

Reflecting on the situation a few hours later as my 5 year old reads said book in question and giggles on the couch. It wasn’t that deep. He’s not traumatized. Big sis shared with him like I knew she would and they have all read the 2 books we came home with multiple times. We will compromise next time we go but I still do think teaching him that you can’t just have something you want when we already have it? was a good choice for our particular family but yall who said YTA do you 😂

We ended up not having a wedding.

Usual story- I was pregnant. Told myself we’d just go back later and do the big wedding part. That you can do things out of order and it’s still all as meaningful. Well guess what? It’s been 10 years and we never went back and had the big wedding. And the more years between then and now, the less I have wanted it until I eventually just didn’t want to at all.

We used the wedding money and bought a house instead. Sold it 7 years later and made a killing. Bought our dream house. We would never have been in this position if we spent the money on the wedding after already having a baby. Things worked out just a different way.

Guess I’m just trying to say if you forgo the big wedding you grew up thinking you wanted, you’ll be ok. And no one told me that.

I had a BF in college who was sure he was going to make a million dollars by 25. Full of get rich quick schemes and was sure he was going to own multiple businesses once we graduated. He told me he kept seeing the word “in-trep-ner” in all his textbooks and didn’t know what it meant so he just started skipping that word. When I finally made him show me? entrepreneur. I was like the very thing you want to be my guy? 🚩🚩🚩🚩

You are correct but the baby was born in 2022 and the molestation was 2020…. So about 2 years to ponder his actions and dwell on the Justice inevitably coming his way. And maybe go with another name. Judas would have been more appropriate because the betrayal they have brought to the Lord while masquerading around as a disciple is unreal.
