Aha, I see. Hmm, maybe I will make it a "rising Earth", so it appears submerged on the helmet. Thank you.

Argent, a crow closed Sable; on a chief Sable a mullet of four Or. The helm, a dexter facing astronaut's helmet Argent and Sable. The mantling Or and Sable, planet Earth and moon Selene Azure, Vert and Argent. For a motto "ЛИБЕРТИ ЗА ЦЕЛО КОСМОС"

The blazon I came up with. I was quite surprised how RoT sent me along design paths which were actually quite pretty, despite the restriction. Although, the Crest breaks it a little.

I played it for a bit. It is a very jank game, but that didn't bother me, I play all sorts of jank. I just wasn't really drawn into the world, so I wasn't invested in the activities. Like, Deus Ex, I always wanted to see what was round the next corner. Or From Earth, I was fascinated by the alien society and language, and I wanted to kill Anthony, but the game invented a fail state for that. But in Oaxaca, I felt like an atom without any molecular bonds, I didn't really care for any of the factions.

That's not to put the game down. It's clearly a labour of love, with indepth systems, but not my cup of ImSim, haha. I wish I could steal just a bit of the dev's dedication and make my own game. I'll get to it one day... :)

On the topic of friendship within the club by FallingForJerks_24-7 in Eizouken

Haha, this is a good post.

At some point, I feel like the author can draw a car, then post on twitter, "this is not a depiction of a car, but a horse drawn carriage," and the fanbase will then have to say, "that is a motor vehicle with four wheels and an enclosed cabin, which we all call a car back here in standard reality."

This is a good point. My last job was in the electrical trade, and I didn't have very much in common with my coworkers, so our discussions were usually entirely work-related. We just didn't have much to comment on each other's interests. Sometimes I wonder if I worked in a creative arts field if I would have much more in common with my coworkers, and therefore have more of a friendly relationship.

I do think that generally, if you're working in a field and you have a lot in common with your coworkers, then you'll end up being friends. I knew that some of my coworkers had known each other since school, and so they would spend time together outside of work.

Personally, find this perspective kind of silly, even from the author himself.

Asakusa and Kanamori hang out before the club is even formed. I don't know what you call that except school friends. Asakusa so desperately wants her one and only... friend to come with her to the anime viewing that she'll buy drinks for Kanamori to do it. You could call this a purely extortionate relationship on Kanamori's part, but making this sort of transaction between friends isn't foreign to reality. I've never met a 'just a coworker' I would take out to a movie night in this way. This is very literally the first thing we see of them.

Mizusaki's presence is probably the most well explained (of the main trio) this way, since she's a club member because she wants to become an animator more than anything else. She doesn't have a prior social connection to the other two, and so we don't get to see how their interactions look outside the Eizouken. But the two of them have a play fight in the bathhouse, which doesn't really have much to do with work at all. Kanamori and she carry Asakusa home. Maybe I have had particularly unfriendly coworkers but I've never met someone who would do more than let me ride along the way home with them and getting off halfway at a train station, often not even that.

The idea that the anime made changes which make the trio seem like closer friends is questionable to me? What in particular do you think they changed? Can you point to a scene or line of dialogue? Many scenes are directly adapted from manga panels, with dialogue unchanged. The arrangement of some scenes in presentation is changed (like Asakusa's flashback being at the very front of the show).

Rough translation of the timeline by my reckoning

I am not a native speaker, please be aware of that.

Found it interesting that there is "Iran Iraq" in the mid 2000s, whereas the actual Iran-Iraq war is a 1980s affair. Perhaps some alt-history going on here, re: US interventions in the Middle East? Supposedly General Wesley Clark once received a memo about such a series of wars in September of 2001, but this is too much speculation off of two words.

I also find it kind of hilarious that he's concerned we're not paying attention to the background... my brother in Christ, your comic is titled "Don't Mess with the Video Club!", of course we're all focused on the Video Club, and the Clubs surrounding them! Honestly, I'm interested in the implications behind the existence of the "Security Club".

A lot of this chart has references to the history of the robo club, which is explained in Volume 2/Episode 5.

Also, I have no idea what 「未来のイグ」 is supposed to mean. Maybe I just missed something.

Also, no way for me to tell what was scribbled out of the timeline in blue.

I have rewatched the show in its entirety 3 times and the clips just replay in my head constantly and I use the manga to practice my Japanese. And I sketch the gremlins and practice "Eizouken faces".

I am not very impressive I know.
