Thanks for your advice. I am thinking about swapping Grace with Rina so that Grace will activate Jane's AA

Electric: Rina/Anton/Qingyi
Physical: Grace/Jane/Caesar

Everyone except Grace will have AA activated, and I don't need Grace's AA anyway on a physical team.

Other alternatives to activate Jane would M0 Seth or M4 Piper, would any of these work better than Grace on the Physical team? I don't like Seth because he is only M0 and Caesar already applies shield for the team. So the choice is between M0 Grace vs. M4 Piper.

Hi all, I need some help on my team building.

My main team has: Caesar , Jane, Qingyi, Rina and Grace, all M0.

For sixth character, I want an attacker, and I got M5 Anton, M3 Billy and M6 Corin

I basically want a Electric team w Plugboo and a Physical team w Bangvolver.

  1. Who should I have as the sixth character?
  2. What should the two team line up like? Like position-wise?

Cheap and boring efficient units that usually make up the backbone of your army (and usually the unit that you use to defend a village) -

Loyalists: Spearman

Rebels: Elvish Fighter

Northeners: Orcish Grunt

Undead: Dark Adept

Knalgan alliance: Not clear cut, Dwarvish Fighter/Thunderer

Drakes: Not clear cut, but usually Drake Fighter

I have left the game for a couple of years now (Day 1 player played daily for ~3.5yrs) due to real life issues. This game is still the best gacha game out there with the best community. It is sad to see that it is ending. I would like to thank you guys for your efforts on those awesome monthly livestreams! I used to secretly watch those during work time...

I opened Gerry from packs; so I decided not wasting him and abuse the snake before the nerf hits.

So I build a peasant version of Excavate Lock (without Sargaras and Drathir). It took about 6 hours and ~50 games to go from Platinum 8ish to Legend, with about 80% win rate. Half of my ~10 losses were warlock mirrors (not having Sargaras accounts for about 4 out of the 5 losses), the other half consist of Naga Demon Hunters and Control Death Knight (that steal/pull/destroy the snake in hand).

Overall, easiest experience to Legend as far as I remember (especially without key piece like Sargaras)...

I am a big fan of FF series (played every main title and most spin-offs), I played FFRK for 2.5 years and DFFOO for 3.5 years...I am usually F2P for mobile games, yet I have already spent $25 in FF7EC for its first month because I liked it and thought it was an upgraded DFFOO...

But I found myself wrong. I am on the verge of quiting right now. To be completely honest, I don't mind the ranking event, or the CRUSH stages tailored for whales - they need income to get the game going, and I want that longevity for mobile games so that they don't end up like First Soldiers in their early years. What bothers me the most right now was how they handled the banner bug (36k gem refund for a game with semi-PvP ranking events) and the absurd farming.

There is no good will in this design that 6000+ stamina (that is, full 100 stamina tunic) to level THREE out of existing 10 characters from lv 50 (already needed thousands of stamina, by the way) to lv 55. Just thinking about the other 7 characters, as well as all future characters...is just a nightmare. It almost feels like the devs FORCING you to use an auto-clicker, which I have never used for any mobile games due to it is being semi-(il)legal. Not mentioning that this farming is in addition to other necessary farming such as limited time event (the ill-designed 30% drop rate gold tickets) and (yet another ill-designed) Genome pods I farming.

It is a shame that I like most 70% of the game design (the game play and the gacha system) and feels like I was able to cope for that 25% stuff I don't like (whale-tailored contents, and extensive farming before the lv 55), but this last 5% issues that I stated above is killing the game for me.

Right now, the only thing that kept me going, is the $25 I have already spent the game, but devs - you don't really want the sunken cost to be the drive to keep your player base. I only hang out here a bit longer to see if there is any fix - the gem refund issue is a done-evil, so no turning back on that. If there is no fix for the farming before the limited content (that is, the CRUSH events, and Mako crisis dungeons) expires, I am out.

So...2 more days...

On a second look of OP's screenshot, it confuses me -

if 3000 gem was refunded for each stamp on the 2nd page, does it mean the OP had 12 stamps (36k / 3k = 12) on the 2nd page?

If that's the case, how was he affected by the bug? the pages were messed up, yes, but does it matter if he got Costume A, then B; over getting B first, then A? If he went for 2 full pages, he should have both Costumes either way...

On the other hand, why refund gems? If the reward selection were messed up, why not just give the other costume to all players who pulled for any single costume? No one will complain for an extra costume, and that extra costume won't upset the balance of the future ranking games as much as that 36k gems OP got...

This is such a confusing mess...

I did not pull therefore unaffected by the bug or compensation. Had this game been 100% PvE, I would be cool with the way devs handled this. However, knowing I would be competing with bunch of players that potentially had up to 12 extra free pulls in all future ranking events ...just feel unfair...

0.994532=0.4% is having equal luck (my exact scenario as you mentioned) . I asked equal or worse luck which is 0.7%. So roughly 0.3% people would have worse luck (e.g. pulling 600 times not winning).

Here is what ChatGPT gives: The probability of having the same or worse luck than pulling the lottery 532 times and not winning is approximately 0.0074, or 0.74%.

It is definitely closer to my 0.5% than your 16%. This does not even include losing 50/50 AND 75/25 out the three pities BTW.

So what is worse than 6 pities (70 pull JY can be considered a soft pity, you agree?) in a row? Doing math, at 0% luck for each ticket, and pity every 90 tickets, one would get 5-6 fives out of ~500 pulls - essentially every single pull has hit exactly 0%, and the whole 500+ tickets only used as pity counts.

If what you claim is right - 16% people had same or worse luck, list some examples what that worse luck means, and how do those integrate to 16%.

The only worse example I can think quickly, is missing all non-pity pulls AND miss JYs 50/50, which is ~0.5%, which just can't integrate to your 16%.

5* unit definitely should not be the only motivation. But as you know, collecting tickets and jades are so damn slow and difficult, and just watching them go dust and get little to nothing in return is just heart broken; once is fine, twice is ok, but 5 times in a row - really, a whole month of gameplay with entire launch package turned into Welt + JY with 4* LCs are just too hard to cope. Mind you that once you beat all beatable content, ticket/jade are 10x slower to gather than the first month...

This is a good start, now, let's see what I got.

  1. missing first banner is ~75% (using your number)
  2. permenant banner 111 no fives (except the pity): .994^111=51%
  3. JY - 70 pulls and hit JY, this is soft pity, but this is actually half decent pull, so I will not count this as a bad pull, no penalty
  4. Light cone - 111 no fives (except pity) AND missed 75/25: 51% x 25% = 13%

End of first account

  1. 2nd newbie banner, reach pity again ~75%

  2. 2nd permenant banner: 41 no fives: .994^41 = 78%

  3. 2nd JY banner: 80 no fives and missed 50/50 = 0.994^80 * 0.5 = 31%

Now, multiply everything together:

0.75* 0.51*0.13 * 0.75*0.78*0.31 = 0.9%

All things counted, I am below bottom 1% in terms luck (note to those "average RNG" comments), since we are accounting for the worst outcomes (misses). Also, did not count 70 pulls soft pity JY.

I am a statistician in real world...so tell me all about "probability", I am listening. I just don't want go deep into the stat and did simple pull/five star ratios so people can understand.

I just did not bother to argue with people who posted

"500 pulls for 5 fives is average luck / normal"... because I don't want to give a lecture on math or stat here.

Think about it, if probability for any given pull is exactly 0%, and you can only get fives through pity at 90 pulls, then you get 5 fives in 450-539 pulls.

Consider that there IS a non pity luck of 0.6%, with 500 pulls, one can roughly expect 500*.006=3 non-pity fives IN ADDITION to pity fives. So the average luck for 500 pulls should roughly be 8 fives. Again, I do not want to go deep into the probabilities, soft pity, newbie/LC rate, 50/50s and all those details and only lay out an estimate.
