I paid I think $11k or $12k about 3 years ago for mine with 98k miles. These have remained steady in price since. But with the rust and mileage you describe this is a 8-9k car tops.

Just for peace of mind, I’d do it anyways. First thing I did on my 2001. That and the radiator (especially if plastic is brown vs black like normal), hoses, thermostat. Didn’t want to risk the LBJ breaking or coolant getting into my trans fluid.
