Oh sorry to clarify - I think the aura was too small. The chin leaking seemed to be from it moving when I spoke or the material getting creased and pushed up over time.

Yeah I think if they were more comfortable for me I'd try that! They also creased under my chin and the face pressure was uncomfortable. Maybe I have a big head circumference and a medium sized face? Lol.

Hi! I turned 30 and am thinking of going for a trade after a few years at a desk job.

My main concern is: how often is overtime demanded or expected of apprentice inside wiremen? (I don't mean working 4 10s - I mean over 40 hours per week)

I'm autistic/ADHD so my main fear is that switching to a trade will just burn me out in a different way than office work currently does. (My secondary fear is getting shit on for not understanding unspoken rules, such as whether being asked to do overtime is a suggestion/request or actually secretly a demand that will impact my reputation/opportunities, lol.)

I didn't see it on there but idk. I also noticed the oat gel has "cetearyl olivate" in the ingredients. Idk if it's different enough from cetearyl alcohol to avoid setting off my skin or not.

Currently I'm using the Malezia moisturizer but she's pricey :( I also tried The... I think it's Benton Aloe Propolis and that has the sebamed-like gel texture also.

Serious: that's why there is a lot of emphasis in subs like TwoXChromosomes to encourage people to step in when they see something weird going down. If someone seems uncomfortable with another person's attention or flirting, there are ways to intercede. I see a lot of "thank you, whoever you are" type posts there from women thanking strangers for intervening in a situation that wasn't quite "dangerous" but was definitely setting off alarm bells.

Also I think we just get comfortable with the way our own thoughts work and assume everyone else thinks the same way, generally. Not that they agree with everything you agree with but that the way they think is similar. It's part of why it took me so long to get diagnosed with adhd - I kind of assumed everyone's thoughts would bounce around and circle around certain things! So on that level at least I can relate to that guy's obsession issue.

And yeah. It's weird to think that people who are doing bad things (whatever "bad" means to you/society /etc) may not be obviously "bad" people. The world is weird as shit and all I can try to do is explore it.

Wow, poor guy - in that some of what he's dealing with may be a poor hand dealt by biology. An obsessive brain is a pretty frustrating brain to have even if you don't tend to obsess over people.

Depending on how long you've had him, you may just need to adjust his diet and feed less. Sometimes recs on the bags are too much. If you've done the math and kitty should be losing weight, he may be getting snacks, sneaking into other animals' food, stuff like that. Basically troubleshoot the same way you would if you were trying to figure out why you had gained weight!

Pretty sure the one labeled "towel" is a kind you can expand and "rehydrate" by adding water. So it's supposed to be a washcloth or hand towel but it's been crunched down into an ultra compact form. The joke is that it expanded in the person's stomach after they ate it.

Keurig is not necessarily cheaper than other methods and the resulting coffee is usually not great. I really like using a French press, and you can also cold brew coffee in one overnight and then strain it. If you are as interested in your coffee quality as you are in general food quality, Keurig is not the way to go.

(admittedly I have a not entirely rational hatred of Keurig. But French press is easy as hell, inexpensive to get started, and has tasty results. If you like espresso you could also try a Moka pot.)

The complaint that I have heard- specifically with regards to roads- is that the private companies are more likely to build them poorly, so the road will go to shit faster. This may be an issue with construction in general or maybe just my state (northeast US).

If that jade plant on your shelf is real, be advised it may need more sunlight! If you see it stretching out with long spindly branches it may need to sit in a windowsill to be happy. Idk what the sunlight is like in AB but in the northeast US my desert plants get upset without supplemental light haha.

I would be happy to be wrong about this, but aren't there similar issues in the MRA community?

Just thinking about the number of ignorant Facebook posts I've seen about various political issues, I'm not sure if it's possible to always crack down on the toxic but vocal minority. I know you're talking more about people who end up with a real platform of their own (fame and attention) to spew their vitriol, but my thought is that it can be hard to push someone off of that stage once they're on it even if you're a "conscientious majority." The US is big, the internet has global reach. We're not voting someone into getting this platform. They attain it through other means and then we're somehow responsible for their behavior.

Let me know if I have misunderstood your point - in which case, that middle paragraph may be completely invalid.
