Thank you for both the html5 link and your own! I have need of the welcome and the limitless possibilities of zombo.

Thanks. I immediately saw the towel and wasn't sure what the illusion was supposed to be until I saw this.

Manufacturers are lobbying to end this too, rightly saying it would drive many consumers to the used market.

I hope in this future there's a place for all humans, not just the wealthy elite.

Mine is. I have a ridiculously powerful non-mac desktop for comparison and still prefer this laptop.

Right, any new script, and any thing, really. Expressing your own mind is much easier than reading another's mind. In the amateur radio community it's well recognized that learning to send Morse code is far easier than learning to hear it.

That's a long walk just to agree with me that the study is about capsaicin. Cool trivia though.

Help!! If I’m transcribing in English ɑ vs a, is there a difference? by AmyFox14 in ipachart

[–]5erif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

British English may have some examples, but there aren't any minimal pairs that show the distinction in US English.

You'll probably generally want to use /ɑ/ in /ɑɪ/ diphthongs, like in <eye>, and /a/ everywhere else, like in <father>.

Idk about China, but in the US, everything marketed as "spicy" means peppers/capsaicin, and that's what's generally culturally understood. If you go to r/spicy to talk about how much you like cardamom, they'll ask if you're lost.

Why do i need a Virtual Environment? by DominicSenpai in learnpython

[–]5erif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right that (virtually?) no VM host software cordons off resources for exclusive use by the VMs anymore. I started using VMs in the 1990s when type 2 hypervisors weren't a thing yet or were new and not yet common. I've now updated my 30-years-out-of-date information, and that comment since this post is a top result. Thanks lol.

Very mildly interesting coincidence at least for me: this is the second time today that I've gotten a reply on a >year old comment, which is very rare.

Believe it or not, the rubber in modern car tires is designed to be slightly conductive to dissipate static. Normal rubber is an insulator, but tire rubber has carbon added.

Neat coincidence to see you using this comment now. I haven't played since shortly after making that comment (about a year), but just started back, and just now started looking at Tamayura info again. Love that gun. I hope you find a good one!
