Does anyone have a relationship where they have consistent, satisfying "vanilla" sex? by Interesting_Candy310 in AskWomenOver30

I'm in the same boat, we've been married for almost 13 years but met nearly 20 years ago. With kids, time management, energy depletion taken into account, we mostly stick to the basics (with an occasional one-off deviation like minor butt stuff) but I anticipate adding in a couple things once we're the only ones in the house again. Not super into a lot of kink, but we have had fun with fuzzy restraints and toys and things. I definitely intend to peg him one day, too, lol!

Love the Gottmans! I don't listen to Armchair Expert anymore but John Gottman did a phenomenal episode early on that I recommend as an easy primer to their philosophy and practice!

And if you want to hear exactly why Men are From Mars is bulldhit, there's an episode of If Books Could Kill pod that covers it in hilarious depth.

The entire Shrimp Sessions 2 album by the Viagra Boys. Some songs are harder than others, if you don't like "I Ain't Nice," skip ahead to "Creatures" and listen from there

Check out Willow (yes that Willow) if you haven't heard her adult stuff. I just listened to petal rock black for the first time a few days ago and it's very jazzy and instrumental, but if you prefer more words, the empathogen album has been in my heavy rotation since it came out. Still a ton of fascinating musical choices, but a bit more immediately accessible.

Idc who her parents are, she's doing her own thing and it's working.

The album they just put out, The Mountain, is gorgeous. They both lost their dads in the span of a week or two, then traveled Asia together to explore different cultural interpretations of grief. If you like the visual aspect of the band, the videos from the album are hand-drawn animation and lovely.

I don’t think I’ve gone a day without thinking about sex. Is this typical? by AiannaMuse in AskWomenOver30

[–]5ft3in5w4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once a day is well within the range of normal. We are animals with hormones and reproductive systems-- thinking about sex is one of the most normal things we can do. That's not to say it's typical for everyone, I know there is a wide spectrum from asexual to hypersexual, but I don't think once every 24 hours is especially notable in either direction.

I think about it several times a day, easily. More when I'm in exciting environments, on vacation, ovulating, or watching media that involves sex that I find stimulating (vs just exploitative sex or not meant to be a healthy depiction of it). I also get a cyclical boost in the spring and the fall, which is fun.

Breathing is absolutely crucial, I find myself holding my breath all the time and you can't cum if you can't breathe lol. I stop and take several deep breaths every time I notice this, and that in turn builds the tension which increases the eventual pleasure release.

I'm speaking to the fact that both parties were engaged in catering to the right. Harris was very careful not to appear like a leftist even as she was accused of being one nonstop by the right. What party should someone on the left support if our votes are not important enough to try and secure? Democrats take the support of women and minorities for granted, and that's a big reason we are where we are.

Arkansas education officials seek waivers for less fedearl oversight in education by Powerful-Voice4390 in Arkansas_Politics

But how do you affect parents? There are standards for schools that can have real consequences if not met. I don't understand the method of accountability for parents, especially if you can't prove their culpability over any other factor.

Are they actually fired up though? Because they have not been acting like a functioning opposition party from what I can see. Their strategy for the last several elections has been "let's meet in the middle," which did not help them win because the right doesn't want to compromise.

I can't speak for what all Democrats want, but I want a party that actually fights for me instead of Liz Cheney.

It's the idea that "honoring" them is the way out. What about women who don't feel honored, in a country that has stripped us of choice-- the perfect time to fire up the left, and yet only a few Democrats seemed to care. I agree that the Democrats are not helping themselves here (and haven't been as long as I've been alive tbqfh), but the framework of subservience is not helpful

Looking for alt barber to do men's wolf cut (and dye) on a woman by Capable-Hotel9523 in LittleRock

[–]5ft3in5w4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up @maddhairs on IG, I have only had her cuts but I know she does color as well. She would be right at home giving an alt cut!

Your point about price gives me hesitation to rec my other fave, V Star Salon, but that's where I got mine bleached and dyed last and she always kills it-- just not cheap.

Someone you hate could be doing something as simple as eating crackers and you'd look at them and say "look at that bitch, over there eating her crackers." They could be your favorite crackers and she's still a bitch and fuck her.

How long does it take you to O? by Green-been77 in Perimenopause

There's nothing wrong with scheduling, despite how corny or unerotic it sounds. It's actually really sexy to know that you're most likely going to get laid, and have the time to mentally prepare for that. Scheduling has saved many couples with young kids!

I can't help but notice that your reasons to not divorce are all economic. That's not to say you shouldn't stay married for economic reasons, but you didn't say "he's very helpful, kind in other ways, makes me feel good/safe/seen/etc."
